Kurina: I personally would promote the Steelseries products. I have an Ikari, as I wanted something simple and basic but that would still perform very well. I have had it over a year now, and I absolutely love it.
lukipela: I would buy the steelseries if they lowered the price. i cant justify that much for a peripheral.
Although you may be looking at a different product, the optical Ikari seems to be running roughly the same as a Deathadder. People seem to gasp when I mention I am not using a laser mouse, but honestly, both types work wonderfully and the tracking has been just fine. It saved money as well, and allowed me to splurge in other areas.
Have you considered any of the Logitech mice? They do not carry the "gaming" brand as Razer and Steelseries do, but they make extremely solid mice. My previous mouse was a laser G5 (now the G500) from Logitech, and it held up incredibly well for quite some time. I honestly only changed because I felt like trying something new. I also hear good things about the Logitech G9x (marked down atm on Amazon), but I have not had it myself to personally recommend.
Those are my two brand choices at least when it comes to gaming and mice.
