It would be bigger shame if you wouldn't get Mangar with your current avatar ;)
Thanks, it was a fun contest!
Sent by PM, but I'll post it here as well.

Thanks for the contest! Was fun, although many of the mages were too obscure for me, or from games I have little to no knowledge of. Most of my 1-pointers came from trawling wikis, walkthroughs and whathaveyous after people had guessed the correct game. :)

Anyway, I think I'll have SWAT3, if it's not too much of a hassle. I had the game as a kid, but by now my disk has gone the way of the dodo. I really liked the game, but didn't get very far, so looking forward to giving it another go.

Again, thanks for the contest. :)
Thank you for a fun contest. Loved the theme.
As for the prize, can it wait a little? I'm waiting for those 25+ EA games, but GOG is taking their sweet time.
The Ishar one would take pretty long. But the Redguard one makes sense.

Well, thanks for the contest, Thiev! I think I will take DodoGeo's choice and wait. The $6 games left in my wishlist are too big for my current backlog =P

Or I might choose one to gift my GF. Well, I'll tell you when it's chosen.

Once again, thank you very much =)
Ah, well - I shall at least be content with having got the one that was initially considered the tricky one. :P

You're free to do so, just drop me a PM when *the game* appears on GOG :)

Ah, but I have an excuse. I am playing the 2004 totally unrelated version of The Bard's Tale. I have not played the original trilogy (and I do not have the games either). In fact I got Mangar strictly from googling your hint ("casting everlasting winter spells"). I tried googling for "laying people alive and stealing their skins" and "turning people to stone" but could not find any. So, which one is which?

Overall, great contest, and a tough one, too, at least for me. On top of my head these are the only ones I recognized (and remembered) straight away:
01. Scotia [Lands of Lore]
05. Brona [Shannara]
11. Darm [The Legend of Kyrandia: Hand of Fate]
13. Maximillian Strauss [VtM Bloodlines]
21. Jaffar [Prince of Persia] - nmillar / Zchinque
35. Simon [Simon the Sorcerer 2]
41. Khelben [Eye of Beholder II]
42. Sidi [Return to Krondor]
48. Illius [Demon Stone]

The following (as mentioned above) are those I recognized but could not remember where:
03. Wahargem [5th Disciple]
17. Gamall [Thief 3]
31. Grumznar [Menzoberranzan]

And to follow DodoGeo and Dragobr's example, if you don't mind I will also wait for the right game to come along :-)
Besides, my bandwidth is rather limited right now and may not be able to download other games until next month anyway.

Thanks again for the contest!

Gamall from Thief3 could steal other's skin to adapt his/her looks and prolong her own longevity. Stone turning referred to Heurodis, who's in fact medusa.

Remake from 2004 has some great songs :D

D'oh! You were referring to Lauryl's skin. I totally forgot that.

Lauryl, there shalt be a reckoning.
