With today's release of the survival horror adventure game, ObsCure, we have started the Adventure week on GOG.com. Now it's time for some promo!
For all adventure games fans (and others as well) we're launching the Adventure Week with [url=http://www.gog.com/en/page/adventure_promo]a special promo! For the whole week, until Monday, May 18 at 11:59 p.m. EDT you can grab three great adventure games, The Feeble Files, and [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/in_cold_blood]In Cold Blood, with a 25% discount. This means you can buy each title for only $4.49! Just add the games you want to buy to your cart and the discount will appear on the payment screen automatically. It's not a bundle promotion, so you can receive the discount on one, two or all three games! Check out the promo page for details.
Nice!
No excuse not to own 'The Feeble Files' now :)
I have a rather large and odd dislike for 3D adventure games.
But I can recommend you all "In Cold Blood", if I enjoyed it, it must of done something right!
I own these already. But "adventure week" makes it sound like we might have some surprises in store this week... maybe something new from Microids/Cryo? Or Broken Sword 1? :-)
nice supprise . I would recommend feeble files if you like something funny. Loved the intro to it :)

What is In Cold Blood, precisely? Turn based action? Real time? Based on the rough storyline about a guy getting betrayed by someone, it sounds a bit like Alpha Protocol.
If this is the adventure week we are gonna have either Dracula series (resurrection, etc), Atlantis series or Syberia series :)

Real time 3D Adventure game, with various action and stealth elements. Normally a pass and urgh, but this one surprised me as capable and decent. The various reviews up on its page will give you a better description, so I don't have to post spoiler warnings here.
Briefly, most of the story takes place on the events leading up to the main characters capture. It's an interesting way of getting around 'death' by claiming the guy just made a mistake on what actually happened. The Betrayal element unfolds as you progress.

IGN says it has pre-rendered backgrounds, so it's really a pointy-clicky adventure game? I'm not into that stuff.

Backgrounds are pre rendered, but consider them a locked down 3D scene. You don't point and click (You barely use the mouse), but move the character around the room/area and have him interact with various items/people.
This was at the point just before full 3D could be taken advantage of (and IMHO badly abused).

read my review of it, should answer most of your questions
Damn i almost have 4,50$ and i wanted to try Waxworks
Another fine offer from GOG! Picked up "In Cold Blood" myself. Already have The Feeble Files, but as for Waxworks... just ain't my thing. I think...
Many thanks!
Edit:
Say... adventure week, eh? You know, I wouldn't mind if a LucasArts/Sierra adventure game suddenly popped up by weeks end. I wouldn't mind that at all. Pretty please? ;)

I guess I can have week off from GOG then as thursday release will probably be an adventure game as well and I'm not into adventure games. Now I only have to figure out what should I do with all the free time if I don't spend in on GOG :P
