With Shadow Warrior Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog bring back one of the legendary heroes of the late 1990's and make sure he's in fighting shape to take on the challenges of modern-day gaming without even breaking a sweat. Yes, Lo Wang is back in action with his faithful katana, sharp enough to slice a hair in half and hard enough to cut through rock. The game re-tells the original story of the 3D Realms fan-favorite classic, but takes some unexpected turns and explores new ideas. This is not the old and wrinkly Lo Wang we met years ago! This is the new, young, and fresh Lo Wang perfect for the new world of first-person shooters. Expect classic feeling, modern looks, and lots, and lots of badassery and gore!

Pre-order your DRM-free copy of Shadow Warrior today, on GOG.com for $33.99, and you'll receive a special GOG.com-exclusive in-game item, the classic Shadow Warrior katana, as well as Shadow Warrior Classic Complete for free!

NOTE: If you already own Shadow Warrior Classic Complete you can contact our support team for a giftable code. Please enter "Shadow Warrior Classic Code" as the topic of your support ticket.

jorlin: Far too much, especially for a linear FP without humour.
I'll admit the price is a little high, but I'm not sure where people are getting the 'no humour' thing from. I never got the impression the game was taking itself seriously and the previews I've watched have Lo Wang making silly quips throughout the game, along with a demon companion who constantly snarks.

Trilarion: I agree. These things still are mostly useless things, so game experience is mostly the same everywhere. Still I feel more deterred than attracted by exclusivity.
I feel the same way, and wonder whether more people than publishers think do so.

Even for something relatively inconsequential as one in-game item or skin. It's a question of principle. A game is sold in four stores, four different exclusives, and if one store goes out of business their item is lost forever? If it impacts gameplay, why would you make some people miss out on it? And if it doesn't, why offer it at all? If it remains exclusive, that means no one will ever be able to have one copy of a game that includes everything made for it. If it doesn't, it means DLC, and that I'll have to assemble the game as a jigsaw (and probably end up paying double the price).

I'm deterred by exclusivity offers because none of the possible scenarios is really satisfying. I wonder how many people feel the same way..

How about an outright admission from the developers that the game won't have the so called "politically incorrect" humor of the original? Because I think that's what is being referred to.

I appreciate that there are people who wish to purchase this game because it looks good, outright admitting that they did not enjoy the original game and are likely to enjoy this one. Conversely, I enjoyed the original game, and based on the footage that I've seen, I'm not convinced that this is worth my preorder. However, I admit that I am also intensely discriminating and extremely difficult to please.

Well, some of us can at least hope that's the case. :)

I enjoyed the original game. I really don't think politically incorrect humor is necessarily what made it good.

Well, yes and no, politically incorrect humor was part of it, so I´m not surprised when people are saying that.
Back at that time, I was too young to understand that, and I enjoyed the game nonetheless, tough :)

Today that humor for me is added incentive.

G-Doc: With the new version of the store, the free game is automagically added to your account, so you don't actually get a giftable code.

We don't want to leave the people who already own Shadow Warrior Classic with a bit less attractive deal, so if you've owned SW Classic prior to your SW order, please just contact support and we'll send you a giftable SW Classic code.
