The Retro-Style Indie Adventure.

Resonance, a point-and-click that mixes classic adventure with twists and unique ideas, is available for digital pre-order exclusively on GOG.com for only $8.99--that’s 10% off the full price, only during preorders!

Resonance is an atmospheric sci-fi adventure in which four characters try to find a dead particle physicist’s hidden vault and prevent the new terrifying technology he’s discovered from getting into the hands of a dangerous organization. We’re not going to spoil the story for you, but the lives of four regular people you will control become entangled in a gripping thriller adventure. The classic point-and-click interface is accompanied by a unique long-term and short-term memory system, which allows to “collect” memories and use them to solve puzzles or start conversations and--in effect--rearrange the storyline.

Resonance features wonderful retro 2D pixel-art graphics, a riveting storyline, original soundtrack, professional voice actors, intuitive interface, and four playable and memorable characters. The game is available for pre-order on GOG.com starting today and will be released on the 19th of June. Until then, Resonance is available with a 10% discount and immediate access to all the goodies GOG.com has gathered for our users, including desktop wallpapers, avatars, a digital poster (suitable for printing), the game’s MP3 soundtrack, and video developer diaries.

If you’re not sure if you want to get Resonance exclusively on GOG.com for only $8.99 watch the video and try to hold back from adding this indie gem to your cart.

VinceTwelve: ~snip~
I was mostly referring to the Blackwell series by WadjetEye games (which i love, btw). Obviously I didn't have a clue about Resonance, so thanks for chiming in! :)

Also, welcome to the forums! I think the game is a perfect fit for GOG and I'm looking forward to playing it.
Happy to be a part of GoG! I had never created an account here because for the last five years, all my money and time has gone to Resonance. But now, I'm salivating over some of the great games on here! As soon as Resonance is a wrap, I'm thinking "shopping spree!"

Hey welcome! Thanks for making a new adventure game! I've already pre-ordered it too.

I really believe that adventure games still have a lot of life in them, just like any other genre, and I'll continue to support developers like yourself.
How about others lenguages available in the future?
Happy to see Wadjet Games coming here! They should be able to keep the graphic adventure crowd pretty happy. I wasn't sure where I was going to buy this one but now I know I'm getting it here.
Looks very Wadjetish, so that's good
exclusively on GOG.com
Botanicula anyone ?

Leroux: But I can't guarantee that you won't get stuck as some point, because it is one-problem-one-solution, and also quite linear. However, if you get stuck every half hour, that would probably only add up to only about 3 times during the game, considering their short length. ;)

VinceTwelve: Hi! Developer of Resonance here!

I just wanted to say that I did my best to provide multiple solutions to the harder puzzles in the game and that there were optional paths and puzzles to explore. There's also the built-in hint system (you can ask the other characters for advice, and they'll nudge you in the right direction), so this should help you not feel like you're stuck for too long!

Also, while most adventure games these days are pretty short, Resonance is not! My most recent play-through took me 11 hours. I'm guessing it's around 12 hours for a first time player if you don't lean on a walthrough.

Regarding the graphics, I think once you're playing the game and see them in beautiful motion, you'll fall in love with the retro aesthetic! If you don't, let me know and I'll do my best to make it up to you!

And on a personal note, I've been working on this game for over five years now and am super excited to team up with Wadjet Eye games and GoG to bring you this high-quality game! Thanks!
Hi. I was wondering if it would be possible to get a box picture for the GOG Wiki page for your game?

gameon: Resonance isn't being sold elsewhere is it? If that happened, i wonder what it would do to GOG's stance on indie releases.....
It will be available on Steam too, so it does not look "exclusive" to me.

Hey there; I'll eagerly wait for the release date and definitely buy it regardless.

That said, those are two features I hate in adventure games, because if there are alternative solutions I feel like I'm missing out on content and I don't want hints until I specifically ask for them.

Is there a way to disable these features? Or at least is there some way to notify me if there is an alternative solution and a way to not trigger the hint dialogue until I want?

edit : I just read the email that i received from Wadjet Eye .
2 - Digital download through GoG.com!

We've partnered with GoG.com to provide you with digital preorders of Resonance. You'll get the digital copy of the game on June 19th, plus a whole bunch of digital goodies like the soundtrack, digital poster, wallpapers, and more.

The digital pre-order is exclusive, not the game. There is a pre-order for the boxed edition on Wadjet Eye's site, but apart from that it's just GOG. Once the game launches it'll be available everywhere.

See above response. ;)

It's sold on the Wadjet Eye site but it's the box version and all. Wadjet Eye has a nice link to GOG for the digital version of the game. So far so good...

gameon: Ouch, any idea of pricing?
Probably the same in dollars, don't know about the euro price. It may end up 9,99 euros.

I thought it is a well known fact that the game will be on steam. This news was sent to all subscribers of WadJet Eye Mailing list:
Resonance - coming to Steam
So if you haven't already heard me exclaim the news all over Twitter and Facebook, you're hearing it here: Resonance is coming to Steam.
This is very exciting news for us. We have other games on Steam, true, but this is the very first time that we've gotten accepted by them before launch. This allows us to plan out the Steam features ahead of time, instead of shoving them in later. Part of my job now is to put achievements into the game, and so far I've made 40 of them. I got a bit carried away. So suffice to say, if you are an achievement collector you will find a lot to keep you happy.
Oh, and the game is going up for pre-order next Thursday. I'll be breaking my bi-weekly newsletter schedule to make the official announcement.

We always use the GOG boxart on the Wiki, which is easy enough to get. In fact, I've just added it now.
