Basically: a sci-fi FPS with plenty of freedom (bit like Boiling Point or Far Cry 2), from creators of Boiling Point (but way less buggy, both gameplay design - wise and technically).

You explore planet, find quests, get some experience points to slightly adjust your character, sometimes jump on your ship and get into space, where you explore space, find quests, get some experience to slightly adjust your character only to land on space station, explore it, get some quests, and then land on newly discovered planet, which you ... I think you get it now. Yes, it's basically nerd's wet dream, even thou slightly broken at times. Also, it's awesome.

you can get it on gamersgate. However, this is far better.

Aliasalpha: How is it different?
Original voices just ripped out and english haphazardly thrown in.

EDIT: That's right. NINJITSU!!!! Yours is more informative though, so kudos Fenixp.

well... The english version is dubbed by one person, as I have heard. Male AND female characters.
I was so desperately interested in this title and couldn't decide whether or not to buy it :o

...not even sure if the system specs will work on my PC, but it looked good. Care to do a full review here or on GG after you've played it a bit more? :D
Request for a review seconded!

I've been interested in the game months before there was even an English version. I considered getting one of my Russian friends to translate for me, then thought it would be too rediculous to ask.

I believe that the fan translation is a lot better than the official translation and that the original Russian voices are a thousand times better than the dub even if you can't understand them.
Does the fan dub not work on the english version? Surely it'd just be a dialogue replacement file or something along those lines

The fan sub works on the english Gamersgate version.

If that topic doesn't give you the answers you wish for, I will gladly do that. Let me know after you skim trough it :-)
I posted my thoughts on the game in that other thread. There's also a RPS Wot I Think.

Fenixp: you can get it on gamersgate. And my advice? Get it there, pirate russian version, download patch and english subtitles for the best experience.
No need to pirate the Russian version! It can be purchased, but it is a little tricky. There's a guide on how to do it here:

http://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12488

This information is in the other thread on The Precursors but I wanted to put it here so people wouldn't be encouraged to pirate the game.

I actually ended up purchasing the Gamersgate version as well because I want to support such games getting released in English. But their localization is terrible, as many have said, and the Russian version with the Unofficial Patch (which also translates the game into English) is way better.
