It's a much bigger business with movies and music. Ironically, the "white knights" that offer help for a modest fee are also in on it. I avoid this whole sector like the plague. Not that difficult for me, fortunately ...

Google for "abmahnung witcher 2 kanzlei", they should be pretty easy to find. "Kanzlei" is the German word for law firm, and "Abmahnung" is the German term for the type of letters that they sent.
I meant small as in "not big enough to have a law department well-versed in the peculiarities of foreign legal systems". ;)
