Well, our big sale starts in 18 hours, where virtually the entire catalog will be 50% off and we'll be giving away Empire Earth: Gold Edition for free for 48 hours.

Before we get to that, though, we're going to give away one last round of bonus codes for our holiday celebration. We have 50 codes that are good for any $5.99 game in our catalog, and 50 codes that will work for any $9.99 game in our catalog. Leave a comment in this forum thread with your favorite character from a GOG.com game and tell us whether you'd like a $5.99 code or a $9.99 one.

Tomorrow (12 December) at 11.00 GMT, we'll close the contest--and start our big sale--so you can get your holiday shopping on.

evidentily is there a way to get an email notification if you recieve a pm from a gog team member?

In My Account, and then the My Messages tab, you can set it to send e-mail notifications.

As I'm aware, you can't stack discounts. So you can't use the $5.99 or $9.99 codes on games already on sale.

OK, that could explain it. If true, will we have to wait until January 2 to use our codes?

Nevertheless, we should hear it from the GOG team to be sure. Would have been nice with some prior notice, though...

Seems like a general problem. I'm sure GOG will fix it ASAP.

Just got word from the GOG team that the codes are supposed to work until June 2012, so they shouldn't have expired. It might be an error of some sort. I'll try to sort it out with Support if necessary. I'm sure it'll work out, be back later.

Have the same issue. Have sent a message to gog staff about this. Irritating as it is, I can only way.

Same problem here, I got the code but when I order it says it no longer valid or in use.
