VinsanityV22: I had originally posted on another forum topic, the "Members Game Wishlist". But this is where it belongs, so I'm gonna move it here. Then I'll go and check the wanted page for these babies...

Man, I have been looking for this for awhile now:)

I actually remember back in the past at some point, GOG just had a section where people could put games they wanted, and other users could search them and favorite what they agree with and games would float to the top. I believe "Outcast" came to their attention with that system. So I miss it, but I'm glad there's this thread anyway, just to put these games out there.

Anyway, I'm more of a console gamer and can't recall too many '90's era PC games, so I'm going to have wishlist some recent-ish console games that I just want a PC version because I don't wanna unpack my Xbox1. But I remember SOME awesome/unique PC games from back in the day, so I'm going to have a weird mix of games:) Here's my list:

Heart of Darkness
Mace Griffin Bounty Hunter
Turok 2
Sudeki
Armed & Dangerous
Grim Fandango
Insecticide
Dark Earth
Omikron: The Nomad Soul
Bioforge
Project Eden
Doom series
Quake series
Indiana Jones games (Infernal Machine and Emperor's Tomb)
Star Wars Jedi Knight series (or just the first one)
Star Wars Shadows of the Empire
No One Lives Forever
Jurassic Park Trespasser
Little Big Adventure/Twinsen's Odyssey

also, was RTX Red Rock ported to PC?

I really don't know why id and LucasArts have their games on Steam, or their individual websites, but not on GOG. But it's weird and wrong, because Quake 1 and Jedi Knight are most definitely Good Old Games!

All of these games are good, and fall into the ,"They don't make 'em like that anymore" category. Hence, why they deserve a place on Gog. Some are very unique, and very "90's PC game"-y. Some cool fiction, some great sci fi worlds, and some weird, ambitious tech that never really got refined very much in future games (like the tech used for BioForge; resulted in some weird looking characters and animations). There's also a lot of adventure elements in action games; nowadays you see a lot of free-roaming and exploration removed from games (Thanks to sh** like Call of Duty). And...they're all just good old games, really:) Some are very ambitious, especially for the time (Omikron, Jurassic Park). You hardly see any big western developers show ambition beyond, "Let's make an FPS!" these days. *sigh* I can't believe TreyArch made Die by the Sword back in the day and now have just become a COD factory...
I cant believe someone remembered RTX Red Rock, lol, i tought i was the only one who played that game. But im almost sure it isnt available for PC.

CO9207: 1. Police Quest: SWAT 4! (Or would this game be too big to put on GOG?)
avatar
tfishell: The Witcher 2 is almost 10 gigs. How big is Swat 4? (I'm assuming not bigger than that. :P)
So was Duke Nukem Forever that beast was 10 gigs as well Speaking of which get the Atomic Edition off of this site and get the HD version of Duke 3D I forget what its called off hand but I'm sure you can all Google it

How about some of the Civilization (Civ3) and Age of Empires games :)

Of course Deus Ex and other games such as those but I'm sure they've been said already
Two uncommon requests:

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis (I guess it's hard to be here due to licensing issues)
Traffic Giant
My wished that are not so common:

Ascendancy
Witchaven
Strife
Powermonger
Warlords
Tonerebelion

and so many more......

Did I mention I'd like:

Fantasy General
Wasteland
Wizardry
Any 'gold box' games (Except Hillsfar - f*ck Hillsfar)
All of the old Soldier of Fortune games would be AWESOME :D
I will write a little off-topic thing here,sorry

i have added Dropmania,DxBall 1 and 2 to the wishlist page

end off topic
I'd love to play these old gems : Heretic,Hexen,Strafe,Witchaven,Wing Commander 1&2 (Special CD-Rom Edition),Ultima Collection,The Forgotten Realms Archives,Rise of the Dragon,Star Wars - TIE Fighter,Star Wars - X Wing,Strike Commander,Syndicate
If they can deal with the licensing issues it would be great to see HeroQuest in here.
An addendum to what I already posted in this thread:

Now there is more reason than ever to get Warlords(specifically Warlords III: Darklords Rising" but even Warlords II Deluxe would be good) on GOG. It is damned near impossible to get running in Windows 7 64 bit now and seems to require using emulators/Virtual Machines just to INSTALL the game, let alone play it. I am sure the GOG experts could figure out something with DosBox and such.

There is also an issue now with multi-core processors and games that are roughly 10+ years of age. These older games(Heroes of M&M III, Duke Nukem 3D etc.) will crash on systems with multi-core processors and the only apparent solution is using hard to find programs that have precious little documentation such as ImageCFG, TaskAssign, etc. and a few of these do not work well(or at all even) for some games under some OSes.

Also, again Civilization II: Test of Time from the long defunct Microprose needs to be on GOG, as does Wizardry 7 and 8 and Might and Magic 9(to complete the collection) with the fan made patch that solves most of the bugs/issues.

And what about smaller independents such as Lavasoft's "Gazillionaire", The SPiderweb software RPGs, Proudfoot's "Natuk" RPG etc.? You could price them at $3-$5 and still sell them to us old school gamers who long for the games that did not have flshy animated graphics but had solid gameplay that is missing from more modern, higher budget games.
Dear GOG,

Could you please add Might and Magic IX on GOG.com? It would complete the Might and Magic series.

Pretty Pretty Please with a cherry on top?

Thanks in advance,

Crash_Override9207
Settlers 3 with Amazon expansion
Zeus with Poseidon expansion

Anyone know of a way to get IPX back into Windows? Or do I just have to dual boot my machines?
1. Silent Storm plus expansion (but fix its inability to work on systems with greater than 2GB RAM)

2. Wizardry series, especially Wiz 8
