Congratualtions, I am glad he won. I think he is better of those 2, although I could imageine even better president, I don't think he is bad one.

For your interest, we have first direct presidantal elections here in 2 months and we have 11 candidates, most of them are just clowns and no one is so far sure who will win.

infinite9: I demand the reduction of bureaucratic costs in the government, a balanced budget, the reigning in of inflation, reduction of federal bureaucracies, the repeal of an overly flawed "health" bill, the reigning in of over-regulation, and a transfer of funds from government desk workers to actual servicemen.

That is what I demand. It would also fulfill my demand for justice for the Benghazi and Operation Fast and Furious coverups.
Nothing what you listed would happen under Romney. Quiet opposite. Republicans are pro regulations which benefit their people.
Repeal of health bill would be possible... which would of course bankrupt everyone and at best in years time make the system work like it did before obama. aka broken and where people of supposedly richest country in the world can't get a health care.
whats wrong with inflation? it is at two and half percent last time i checked.

The coup in Chile was probably one of the only military coups of the past century that actually did good by saving the Chilean economy.
which means it was an accident. it supposed to not work but it worked. you can not count on it happening again.
Don't debate with the insane person.
Seems like interesting enough subject to partake on the forums. So...

I don't think it really makes any difference who won. And my arguments? Well... I'll link to some articles that do explain my point of view so that more proficient people do the elaboration:

http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/commentary-total-capitalism-and-the-downfall-of-america-a-865437.html

http://www.euronews.com/2012/09/13/stiglitz-warns-europe-don-t-mimic-us/

p.s. Or is it that I don't have my own point of view and I am merely mimicking what I read in those articles... Hard to know :)
This is going to be interesting. Who wants to put a bet on how long it takes for the FBI to come to his door?
As a Brit im glad Obama won, anyone but Republicans winning as to be good for the rest of the world, these people scare me

I can't bet, but I guess is within a week?

infinite9: Every American who voted for Obama is either a complete moron or an inconsiderate asshole who does not give a shit about real issues like the national debt, inflation, underemployment, unemployment, or that coverup of the Benghazi incident. I am one of the real Americans who voted for political improvement by voting for Romney instead of the ones who fell for the red herrings like contraceptives or "women's rights."

Every American who voted for Obama should have gotten miscarried. This country needs a military coup to save it kind of like what happened in Chile in 1973.

May an assassin's bullet find its way through both Obama and Biden. Death to the Democratic Party AKA the Demographic Party AKA the National Socialist American Freeloaders' Party.
Yeah I'll just leave this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hfYJsQAhl0
Recession in 3... 2... 1...

But seriously, next recession by... I'm gonna say September 2014, and possibly sometime in 2013. I hope my business can survive; given the stellar economic "policies" that have us stagnating our way out of the last one, I don't have great hopes for avoiding another one before the normal, low-intensity cyclical recession we'd otherwise likely have around 2016 - 2018.

Don't sell off that gold yet, folks! And I'm glad I held off on making the contribution to our IRAs for this year. Market is down 1.8% within 12 hours of getting the election results (go figure!) and I was worried that we'd miss the one-day upward bump from a Romney win. LOL

The only morons are the ones who re-elected the piece of shit and I hope much of them get stage 4 cancer.
I'm very forgiving on the whole free speech thing, and even relish in gallows humor, but this is completely uncalled for.
Do you think there will be gridlock again in the next months? Will Republicans use their majority in the Congress to boycott everything that doesn't look right or will they start searching for compromises and bargains?

Anyway the economy is on the mend, it's growing steadily and unemployment is one point down since last year. In Europe it's looking much worse (economy down and unemployment up). I think that the best for the US is to continue with this course, decrease the trade deficit, for example by lowering wage taxes and financing this by increasing value added taxes and invest in education and slowly decrease the budget deficit.

Just don't start a war - too expensive.

"Roboturkey" on a news comment section has the best thing I have read about this election yet:

Modern times, folks. Several pioneer states got on the marriage equality bandwagon rolling last night, and a couple states decided to decisively embrace private recreational use of marijuana. Meanwhile, back at the R brain trust they are still trying to figure out how to impose Leviticus as a legal code.

Looky here. I will give you the secrets to the 21st century American electorate. Adapt or perish.

1. Take science and cutting edge research very seriously. "Success" as a party and a people depends on the nimble use of intelligence, something that the D's currently exhibit and the R's do not. Being able to reach the electorate hinges on technological proficiency, which at its core presupposes a very high degree of literacy and education . Knowledge is Good. Try looking like you know something.

2. Stop trying to legislate morality. Gay marriage, abortion, and other hot button social issues can be approached from a conservative personal liberty stance that attracts voters. Personal choice is OK. Pursuit of happiness and all that other stuff in the rule book. The R's are a bunch of national nags and buzzkills right now.

3. The social safety net is vital. Figure out how to manage it efficiently and fairly.

4. Be cool. Old, white and uptight still looks as bad today as it did 40 years ago.

5. Celebrate diversity and learn Spanish because you're gonna need it.
I decided only to vote for the winner last night. either that, or write in "Jesus Christ" in the write in ballots for president. people on this forum are all pretty much libral, so they would hate to be under the presidency of the son of man.

Uh, Jesus was pretty liberal. I don't think he'd really want to be President, either. :P

Actually, there was this Chinese guy whose name I forget who preached a lot of the peace and love stuff way before Jesus' time. Don't know if that counts, though.
