Even as anti-Nintendo as I am (which is quite a bit), I enjoyed this video tremendously. And that guy really ought to have his own TV show. As others have said, what a fantastic voice, and to use a cliché, the camera simply loves him.

I actually had to chain down my wallet to the table or I would have ran off to by something when this guy was talking.

They could probably bring a lot more stuff over if they could get away with sticking subtitles over the existing text, like a movie, and distributing the game over the internet. When they go the more expensive route of modifying the voices, content, and difficulty for different cultures, along with coming up with a localized marketing campaign, even a projection of moderate success might be too risky compared to bigger titles.

We're getting Xenoblade, Pandora's Tower and Last Story. We already have Distaster: Day of Crisis and Another Code: R. We're never getting Fatal Frame (Project Zero) 4 though.

Here in Sweden subtitles and original voices is considered way better than dubbing, it's often Germany and France that demands their domestic languages. If I understood it correctly Americans generally finds subtiltles sub-par to dubbing?

There's a long tradition of distributors dubbing any content they can get their hands on. I don't know how the general public would react if subtitles were promoted more heavily. It's not like dubbed foreign films are fantastically popular compared to subtitled ones. I don't hate the idea of dubbing some content, but I do hate when the dub is the only version available.

Games are trickier than movies, because taking your eyes off the game to read subtitles doesn't just break the visual flow. Depending on the game, it can make you lose.

It's the same here in Denmark, and, I think, through all of Scandinavia. This is the primary reason we are generally better at English than our fellow Europeans south of here. The only things that are dubbed here is stuff for kids.
