Secret Rings was ok in sports, but I didn't really like it. Unleashed was terrible, Black Knight wasn't good either, Heroes and 2006 need no introduction...
Hopefully you enjoy it more than me! It isn't a badly made game, at all. Just too slow and complex, with not enough payoff, for my tastes.

Secret Rings to me needed fine tuning but I enjoyed a bit of it. I didn't play Unleashed and Black Knight. I think that the last Sonic game I liked before that was Sonic Adventure 1... sorta. haha.

Sonic gets a bad rap a lot which is likely why Sega went with the retro gameplay with episodic? Not sure how that one went.

Not speaking from personal experience, but I heard Episode 1 was meh, and 2 was average. From experience though, Sega can still make solid Sonic games, like Generations, but puts out way too much crap between them.

That's interesting. I think I might take a look at Sonic Colors and Episode 1 to really judge it. :)

I should try Colors as well... I think it's on my Gamefly Que.
