Personally, I wouldn't worry so much about the new users and avoid saying anything if you cannot be bothered: once they actually acclimate to the community (IF they do so), then they'll see for themselves.
As to the depreidemic, there are several factors at work, and no doubt several factions:
1) older users who (bordering on a fascist style mentatlity) believe this forum should be only for those with an extremist DRM free mentality / and / or that to recieve a game in a giveaway you should instantly gift a game equal or greater value.
2) Scumbags who come here to sap / scam the community (to whatever end) by dropping exploited keys, doing dodgy trades and generally being shit.
3)Lurkers. Lots of them. LOTS!

ALL of the above suffer from entitlementarseholio syndrome and need to go fuck a goat immediately to ensure their fatbastardinabasementwatchingporn glands dont explode!

1. I was actually a part of an elitist group of members on a thread about comic book movies for years. Redvsblue.com.....hard to get back into it but ya, elitist can be very very stuck up. Plus the give one take one thread is there for those people. We also got open this thread which is guilt free drops that hasn't been corrupted....so far.

2. Why they hate the community is beyond me since the nicest people are here. I like that people all around the world come here, usually its just the US, Canada, and the UK on most sites at least the English speaking ones.

3. I know a few of them, ignore most of them

Indeed, no wonder their life revolves around hitting -ve buttons on various threads on the forum whenever they get tired of sitting on their self righteous throne of dicks at work or whatever weird shit that gets them off. I find your direct and in your face attitude to be very refreshing on this forum, and I always appreciate you telling it how it is.
