To be honest my intension wasn't to turn the thread into a +rep thread, I was just wondering why some people just -rep for no reason.
I wonder if it is a single guy creating multiple accounts to do so?

Maybe. I did exposed someone recently that was posting a key to get reps, but that key was dropped as plain text on playblink shoutbox 2 minutes earlier.
I think the -rep started around then.
