Contacted the developer and desura twice now, they said they would contact him too, but i have my doubts that there will be a resolution as his other game Pickle Frenzy had all comments removed.
Did you try installing it through Desura client?

Actually no (i usually just get the installers), but just tried. it does download and the game works.
Why can't desura add a direct link then.
