Cripes, forgot to toss in a sci-fi film. I'll stump up The Fly this time, either the Price or Goldblum version, both are top-notch. And the original story is worth a read, as it's more disturbing than the films.

Star Wars isn't much of anything apart from an animated version of the Valérian et Laureline bande dessinee, with some borrowed place names standing in for planets and guff standing in for plot. That whole house of cards came down with the prequels, which showed precisely how many fucks (none) the "creator" gave for both the creation and the fans.

Inception is weak cheese even as mindfuck material. Memento is arguably better in that regard if you want something from the director's catalogue. I'd prefer to go with Videodrome or Lost Highway or Jacob's Ladder or The Machinist in that arena.
