lugum: its one of the few things our country is awesome in. i think its about 30-40 euro per month but that includes phone, internet and television. there are even much bigger speeds but cost a few tenners more obviously.

mrtophat101: What are the specs of your connection.

My 25mb connection downloads at about 2,5mb/s. Yours sounds a lot faster.
50mbit/s but well downloading at 6mb/s . surprised me too.
first i had an old router so didnt reach full speed.

although at that speed certain things become real slow or some programs like uttorent give problems and can't handle all very well..

I sometimes buy from ebay. I've gotten packages where I don't have to pay customs fees, only shipping and other times I do have to pay customs fees. I think it depends on whether they actually check your package or not.

gameon: i think it may have to do with the value of the item, and the size/weight of the box. Still, there have been some ridiculous fees on things like ipods for instance.

gameon: Why not send GOG support a message explaining your situation, and perhaps they will allow you to exchange it for something of the same value, so you could pick a game with a smaller download size?
Yes, the package size being an influence would make sense indeed.

upload speed of 600kb/s which is more important if you torrent alot :p

Fees here can be 60%+, depending on the state...
and this year they are keeping packages up to 90 days... things get even worse if is from U.S. .... this is ridiculous

Nah... It's my fault, I should've checked the game size.
I'll ask my brother to download it from Saudi Arabia... Connexion there is incredibly speedy apparently.
I'll just have to wait a month before playing it. Doesn't bother me a bit.

The only true bother of my connexion speed is that I can only play online games that support my connexion speed ^^... This is also why i hate steam btw.

I understand the quote system, but sometimes, even when your text is after the [ /quote ] code, it shows the text next to the 'quote line'.
