Actually, it was often the British Imperials (Ie the other colonies) that often came up with the slurs - the British are just FAR better at using them with intent I think - the language (int he British use and use of accent) is powered by it.
Read it all the other night - meant to reply - got pissed before bedtime o clock. Remember loving what I'd read, an thinking "needs some tidying, otherwise a doer" then passed out.

And you are spot on about it really being the various Colonials. It takes the kind of mindset that has no trouble in displacing or massacring the natives to really come up with the nasty slurs. A tradition America proudly keeps alive!

I excised a weak joke about the British facility with slurs, which is what you are probably referring to. Too much dead horse flogging in that in hindsight. :) Sachys hit the point much better with the frame shift over to the Colonials.

Don't worry about it... I was just kidding. I grew up in an international setting, and went to an American International school when I was younger, so I'm not particularly serious about national stereotypes! :-)
