GamersGate allows you to have 2 copies of any game. You can have more, but need to contact support before. The exception to this are four-packs, where you buy 4 copies of one game as a single shop item; you can then give away the games individually.

It's a good policy imho, AFAIK Steam doesn't allow you to have additional copies of a game, and even voids gifts if you already have the game. GOG doesn't allow you to have several copies of a game either, but prevents you from voiding gifts.

That actually wouldn't be possible, a game can be gifted only once on GamersGate.

Though, since the "game" on Gamersgate probably consists of a Steam code, you could probably give away that. :)
