Meanwhile, hey look, a giveaway!

JogsterXL: Here, have some Penny Arcade's On The Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 Steam Keys:

NXIC2I8QFTVRAP3
P25NWRRLDWYGGQH
P2TY2NZDDM3AL66
P3P33W4JYDGZJMP
Got P25NWRRLDWYGGQH, thanks and +1.
Concerning games from the Origin bundle you can get 1 Origin key for yourself from Steam Library, other than that provided by the bundle.
Right click the game in Steam library and choose "View CD key" and a NEW Origin key will appear for that game.
You can get 2x Origin keys this way, one from the bundle to give to a friend and one generated in Steam library for yourself.

stumbled upon this, might be useful if you wanna give an extra key to your friend.

you have to install the game and run it in order to see "View CD key".

edit: I've found out that there could be some multiplayer problem, like that both people can't play multiplayer at the same time, otherwise it's fine and working.

amok: No worries Ian, and I do have a lot of respect for the amount of giveaways you have had the time you have been here, and in most cases else I also find myself agreeing with you more often than not :)

When it comes to knowing a key is from HB or not, I guess you are referring to the Tremor thing? They admitted that the key is from Humble (it was after all the only place to get that compound key :)) and re-distributed them. They will not do so in the future. Other than that, I think all others are places where the person doing the giveaway first say so, or I ask them before I start my preaching routine. It can be seen in all the other giveaways on this site where I do not do so. I judge very few people guilty, only when they admit it themselves.

(Granted there was one last night, and I do admit I should have asked the person first, but it was very suspicious when it was an account created the same day...)

Humble themselves will off course not do anything about it, how can they? They live on peoples goodwill, and will not do anything to rock the boat, which is another reason why I think that these giveaways are a shame. It is taking an unfair advantage. The moment they try to clamp down on this, there will be a shitstorm, so they can not do it. Instead they need to trust it's customers to be decent instead.

hehe, I love how this implies that what is happening is wrong, not sure if that was your intention :)

Yes, I do a lot of wrong things. A probably do a lot of wrong things every day. Point being, I never intentionally set out to do wrong things, and when I do I apologise, try to rectify the issue, and make sure I do not do the same thing again. I think that is the adult way of dealing with it :)

I may also have issues around honor and respect which are over inflated, it has got me in trouble before :)

but do you need to do it here, after what gog said what they think about it? I still think that is very disrespectful... and it is not addressed.
http://www.tremorgames.com/index.php?action=showitem&itemid=8582 they still sell it.
The problem for me is not the legality of the matter.
For me its the fact that you are a self-appointed spokesperson for not 1 but 2 different game stores. These companies have paid staff working for them to handle situations like this and they have done nothing, not one of them have spoken up for you.
When Hitler banned books it only worked because there where people who abided by the rules and turned on their neighbours. This let to massive book burnings. People who blindly do what the authorities tell them. Man you must be a marketing execs wet dream someone who blindly does what he is told.
Fortunately the majority in this matter believes in making other people happy over a company's wishes the day that is not the case commercialism wins. That day we become mindless sheep who gladly burn books and buy products we don't need without sharing.
My fate in humanity has taken a step up thank you for pointing that out Amok at least.

I guess my point that legalities is not really what I was on about got lost somewhere.... and It was only a matter of time until Godwins law got revoked, congratulations - you win the thread.

I guess it matters more for people to not respect anything and instead do what they bloody well like, no matter where they are. Thank you for lowering my faith in humanity.

I'd have to agree with Amok, here. Standing up for the legality of a group of people literally doing charity for gamers and, um, charity alike... Abusing those groups is rather foul and ultimately damaging. Pirate the games, I honestly don't care... But liberally abusing or supporting the abuse of people trying to improve things for those people who CARE about their games?

You compare the bundle sites to Hitler banning books, as a ploy to gain distaste. It's a simple ploy, and a crude one at that, and it does nothing for your cause.

you miss the point I do not compare the bundle sites or gog to burning books I compare people blindly following corporate interests to the people who actually burned the books. The sites haven't even lifted a finger and still customers like Amok rant on on their behalf that is twisted.
this is honestly ruining this topic. If i were a mod here i would now close this unfortunately.....
Everyone please drop it. Both sides have long stopped listening to each other, and there is nothing further meaningful to add to the discussion.

Thank you.
please don't hijack this topic
