I stopped playing FF VIII somewhere midway, when I changed my computer. I still don't understand why was it so hard to put retarded map in the game....

I remember there being a map .. at least on the ps1 version, wich is the version it was meant to be played on.
I've heard the pc version was quite a dissapointment.. many bugs, features missing etc..

I remember cursing retarded spot in front of Mayors mansion on the end of CD1 that had read error in v1 of the game, and would crash your computer if you stood on it. It also managed to corrupt my savegame.

Haven't found the way to turn on map 'till the very day I stopped playing.
