tinyE: That's actually tough. I know you got your answer but finding a movie robot that isn't humanoid is a lot harder than I thought. Shit, there goes my evening!

None of the robots in Runaway were androids minus the maid, so that works. Also the ED-209 from RoboCop is a good one.
A humanoid robot isnt neccesarily an android - take the one from "he day the earth stood still" for instance. and, if you read my OP on it a page or so ago, I'm also willing to accept large mechanical apparatus from the era (a 1930s crene arm for instance). Also, i wasnt looking for the name of a film (that just cropped up - in case anyone else reads this and gets confused!).

Lifthrasil: Favourite robots? That would be Cylons (the original Toasters, not the androids of the remake). They are somehow cute in their inefficiency.
Technically cyborgs / androids - even in the original series. Cheers though!

Hmm. Then I'll take the flying giant robots of Sky Captain and the World of tomorrow. They are somehow cool in a ridiculous way as well. :-)

I did ask for pre CGI era, BUT it counts as its b-movie / cinema serial tastic AND retro to the era im looking at!

What about Robby from *Forbidden Planet*?
He was the first with Asimov's laws.

essentially already mentioned by SireyeBall who went with Robbie from "lost in space" - that was made using spares from the FP version and had the same VA.

also, FP was my first port of call!

But cheers!
mmmh, not pre area but still one of the best: Marvin from The Hitchhikers
And one of the first ever....the robot in Metropolis

And if you like real trash....search for Raumpatrouille Orion.
Its cult in Germany....if you found the salt shaker use by McCoy in Star Trek funny...well look at the iron and shower accessories there ;-)

Days had gone by. You remain there pondering ever thoughtfully at the doors that remained shut for as long as anyone could remember. What was its secret? Was it even possible to disarm? You did not come this far to walk away in defeat.

Once more, you heard the whispers of the wailing spirits, seemingly long trapped within the walls of this dungeon. “Mistress... oh mistress... why do you not help them?”

“Mistress...”, you mutter to yourself as you look at each of the engraved text on each door. What was the key?
You seem a bit... how to put it... impatient? ;)
Oh... I just think the puzzle has gone long enough so the hints have to be a bit more... revealing. :-)

For some reason, it let me activate that even after owning the game.. weird. It added "retail exclusive dlc" to my account.
Didn't know what the game was, otherwise wouldn't have tried to redeem it.

Bugger... didn't expect that to happen... >_>
Oh well... one key left... Serious Sam 3 ... how should I give this one away I wonder...
I can take it unless someone still wants it in Non-GOG Gifting Thread.

Seriously that DI will take ages to get and I don't want bump with same request on every page even if other people doing so without regrets. ;-)

Offer it to triock. He's been fishing for the Classic encounters, which this includes, but will also like SS3. Just a suggestion :-)
