Sachys: NINJAS ASSEMBLE!

As the rest of the internet hasnt answered, I need some quick input (and should have thought to post here in the first place!) - whats your favourite Robot from a B-Movie (or anything prior to CGI effects will do really!).

- need a link or image if possible!

...and no androids please!

Will also accept large mechanical apparatus (ie diggers and the like).
I don't know if it qualifies as a B- movie... but I loved this growing up:

Definately - big budget or not, it had the horror of "cute" robots - though the bad robot was pretty damned cool!
cant remember the name of the film im thinking of now youve brought that up, but it was a little earlier and revolved around a guy on a ship with the last of earths forests - the robots in that were really well done!

Edit:
Right guys - think I'm sorted now as other channels have begun responding now too! (funnily theyve had 45 minuets to respond, but then "this... is... NINJAAAAAA!")

Cheers - I've got some ideas rolling in my head now and youve helped me avoid a few hours googling / sorting through old magazines etc.

And just to note, I'll be doing a giveaway related to this in a few weeks (its to do with a comission!).

inabit!

Edit#2

This also helped!

its a close tie between

Hal 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey
&
Bubo from Clash Of The Titans
are my two favorites if you dont count Androids.

Gerty from Moon is my recent favorite robot..

gert was a great combo between hal (as thats what spacey's vocal portrayal reminds me of) and the robots form the film i still cannot remember (see braussies post above). Though i'd count hal as an AI, that red light had enough prescence for it to be worth remembering as im about to hit the wacom!

Edit: and cheers - Bubo had some interesting design features, which is really what i need!

I nearly forgot about Bubo :)

Just watch Silent Running, its got Huey, Dewey , Louie the Drones
Keanu Reeves, any of his movies.

I'm totally confused; the request specified non-androids but there are a few in the list. Is my definition of android wrong?

no, just people responding with androids!

Death2Videodrome:
That's more of a cyberfetish transhuman thing! O_o
CLASSIC THOUGH! (both the film and the portishead track added!).

Favourite robots? That would be Cylons (the original Toasters, not the androids of the remake). They are somehow cute in their inefficiency.
That's actually tough. I know you got your answer but finding a movie robot that isn't humanoid is a lot harder than I thought. Shit, there goes my evening!

None of the robots in Runaway were androids minus the maid, so that works. Also the ED-209 from RoboCop is a good one.
