macuahuitlgog: No I was not trying to force my way of thinking on others because I did not tell anyone to relax or be like this or that. I was offering suggestions to anyone who is interested. There was no friendly advice from lugum in my opinion, why can't you get that? Telling someone to relax is not friendly advice. Telling someone HOW to relax is friendly advice.
lugum: well someone told you HOW to relax by drinking wine and you had a problem with that too.
i cant reply further , i have to ninja .
oh btw keep F5 ing and be quick, see there i gave you some good advice now.
What a childish thing to say. I didn't have a problem with the drinking wine advice. I found it very good advice.

Psyringe: I'm sorry, but that's absurd. It's pretty safe to assume that people (a) understand friendly advice like "Relax, it's not that important" in the way it's meant, and (b) are competent enough to know how to relax if they are at least 14. Actually, telling someone in detail _how_ he should relax probably has a higher chance to be taken as offensive, since the recipient may get the impression that the speaker thinks he's stupid.
You are making assumptions about interpersonal communication that are very far from reality.
It's possible that you're having difficulties with this part of communication, but in that case, just take other people's reaction as a guide. In this example, everyone but you saw the "relax" statement as friendly advice. What does that tell you? That everyone's wrong but you?
Ok, now you are just being a troll and clearly if someone is not relaxed, they probably need to be told HOW to relax. It is very simple.
