I also liked that Wilson was based off Watson, I pointed out how both characters were based off Holmes and Watson to a friend who loved the show, and her jaw nearly hit the floor when the realization hit her.

While I'm not overly fond of the show, I am a fan of Hugh Laurie and I respect the level of cleverness that DID go into the show. I always chuckled how Cuttey (spelling?), was essentially Lastrade.
