I've only recently seen this key format for GamersGate... where does one redeem them?

Same place as usual? Make a GG account, go to the sidebar, My Account (inexplicably, it's collapsed), underneath there should be options to redeem either a code or a giftcard. Enter the code. Hope it works :P

I've hit some lucky codes in the past which were around for hours too and was kind of surprised. ;o) This particular game was part of a recent indie bundle which was rather popular though so I imagine a tonne of people already have the game already and passed up the Ninja. (I do) ;o)

Also, it helps that it's not Steam and a little obfuscated
