It would help cut down trolls with multiple ids...

Even if it was him, that's not the point. If we start ganging up on every new user on the basis of how their name is spelled, or what country their IP is from, then this community is going to get a reputation for being unfriendly to newcomers. I think that'd be a real shame, and a higher price than deterring one obnoxious scammer is worth.

Shouldn't be that hard to find out who this walako guy is.

Usually when people create several accounts to increase their chances of getting a game, they are gonna redeem this game no matter what on their "Primary" account.. because it's just silly and unpractical switching through several accounts to download, admire and see updates / games...

So basically if you ever gave a code to a guy, and another account redeemed said game (can be seen via gifted games section) there's a big chance the guy has 2 accounts to increse his odds of winning.

I agree that the scenario you presented would be worse than the Wakalo problem, but as far as I know, it hasn't happened yet. The guy's made several obvious posts using various other accounts and been called on it. There's still a large gap between THAT and the worst case scenario you're fearful of happening, especially since it IS him, so in this instance, it would be the point.

I definitely agree that ganging up on new users is a terrible idea, but this one only happened because he actively sought it out. Had he not jumped into every topic talking about Wakalo, I doubt people would have come down on him in the way that they did.

Good idea, but I think wakalo is mostly interested in Steam games and gathering masses of games for trading purposes. He took a copy of The Ship off Ian when he was in the middle of trying to trade 7 copies in the classifieds thread.

Honestly, i only have one steam account which was going to be BUSTED if i hadn't changed it's ID.. Hahahaha, or wasn't it? Like i said i have everything under complete control... AND a few desura accounts :)

Changing profile is completely different from changing ID, idiot...you can change your profile all you want, but you only have one unique ID which will eventually be banned if you keep acting like a selfish twat...

I suggest everyone follow the link to his Steam profile and report it for misconduct. Unlikely they'll do anything, but they might.
