Psyringe: I got the solution, but I'm missing only Magic carpet from the games in the bundle. ;)

Can I use the key without voiding the games I already have? I mean, it would be awful if NameGoo bought all these games, and I can only receive one of them, and the other purchases would be void.

NameGoo: You can use the key to get the game you don't have, all remaining games can be claimed by someone else using the same key. ;)
Thanks, got it! That was a fine riddle. :) I had no idea how a 39-item code could form a 16-character solution, but once I started decoding it the right way, it all became clear. Very nice code. Especially since other encryptions which have gift codes as solutions have the problem that you never know if you're on the right track, because the correct solution is a gibberish gift code. Your encryption doesn't have that problem. :)

Btw, also thanks to GOG for designing the gift feature in a way that I could redeem one game without voiding the others for other ninjas. :)
Many thanks!
I grabbed the two Crusader games from it. Three games left :)

Yes, gotta love GOG for having a logical gifting system. :)

N0x0ss: Well I did figure out the square thing... but the substraction thing :s .... nada

NameGoo: You seem to be pretty close, although I don't know how you managed to get this:
"16 24 20 22 57 63 30 1 27 13 66 20 43 76 40 58 69 65 -9 36 41 17 39 53 45 4 -27 75 6 74 42 35 85 15 49 30 67 57 15 "
There shouldn't be any numbers in the negative, and all numbers need 2 digits to be converted back into letters.

BTW, the second key is 27 letters too short. Perhaps it can be repeated?
Wow, thanks for this puzzle and the games! Just redeemed the key. I figured out yesterday before going to sleep how to do the square and how the numbers would fit with it. But I thought I was on the wrong track because they were just too high (so this hint of you was the missing piece) and too many (resolved itself...). Didn't think of the numbers of the code being as text in there. ;-)

Congrats!
Yeah, it was easier for me to just put the numbers in as letters. Apparently it helped with the deciphering as well. I'm glad for that, as for a bit there I thought it had made the puzzle too hard.

And for everyone still wondering, the cipher used was the Nihilist cipher, used in Russia in the 1880s.

'Till next time! ;)

NameGoo:
Fun puzzle. :)

The Russia 1880's clue made it fairly easy... once I remembered down then over instead of over then down.
