The prequel to our previous strategy release, Panzer General 2 is the most well-known title of the General series and one of the greatest and most memorable games of all time.
[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/panzer_general_2]Panzer General 2 is a turn-based strategy game. It is played on a map divided into hexes, much like in a tabletop game. Don't be fooled into thinking it's a title for die-hard grognards, though. The mechanics are easy to learn, therefore any casual gamer can become a formidable general, providing that he makes use of his brain. PG2 covers events from the Spanish Civil War of 1938, until the end of World War 2 in 1945. As an added bonus, there are several hypothetical scenarios until 1946, including Germany invading the United States in order to capture the prototype of the atomic bomb. Overall an addictive, approachable and absolutely legendary game.
Heck yeah!!! Instant buy!
Yes, this is the game I like to see here. In my wishlist.

GOG.com: The prequel to our previous strategy release

Time to rename the forum, guys :).
BTW, is this the Win or DOS version?

Ah, now here was a game that frustrated me as a kid. It was very fun, but extremely difficult as well. I remember feeling a bit ashamed that I had to disable fuel/supply management just to make things more possible. Slightly. More. Possible.
The price point is a bit much, but if Ubisoft is publishing I know it wouldn't be any other way.
Not for me right now, though I do know others have been waiting on this one.
Yay, good release. Will probably buy when there's a discount. Also: Keep releasing SSI-stuff! :-)
Oh, another "general" game. I hope Fantasy Generel will make it to GOG too. I am not very interested in WW2 games, but Fantasy General will be almost instant buy for me.

I've never really played a war game, and I figure Panzer General 2 would be as good an introduction as any.
But not for $9.99. Sorry.

I hope the people grabbing your free game codes are at least interested in them.
Never played any of these games. I think I will wait to see what type of reviews it receives, and the price to drop.
Wonderful, I hope we'll get Panzer General 1 too :)
Hmmm. It's good to see this here, but I'm not *that* nostalgic* about this game as to give $10 for it right now. Maybe I'll wait until it's in a promo offer. Also, it seems I was right about Ubisoft planning to release every single "... General" game one by one for $10, thus following the HoMM example, and not the M&M-pack one. (One of the few occasions when I would have been happier to be wrong...)
*While I know (and remember) it's a great game, I have too many great titles I want to play, thus I would only buy it for the nostalgia factor.
