stonebro: Awesome. Absolutely awesome. ChessMaster is THE series for the chess interested, or the person interested in learning chess. You can learn a pretty high level of chess just by playing the game.
I was actually going to buy ChessMaster 11 Grandmaster Edition, but now I'll get this instead. The Chess Engine in use is basically the same, and it is very good and scales very well to whatever rating you have.
Absolute must-buy for everybody who likes chess.

Couldn't agree more. It comes a little too late for me, as I picked this up some months ago from Direct2Drive. However, it's a great chess program for the price, and it won't tax your system resources. I highly recommend it to anyone from beginners to skilled players (I'm more at the beginner's side of the spectrum, mostly because I don't practice as much as I should to get better).
Can we have Shogi and Go next? ;) :P
I don't care about this game at all however i dunno if any if you guys noticed but this is a game from Ubisoft, it wasn't announced when we first learned that Ubisoft was coming to GOG so this probably means that GOG and Ubisoft made a new deal to get more games here. Or it's just wishful thinking of my part.

Cool I guess? I'm not really into chess games but this is better than the other Chess games gog has on here. I just want my Postal 2 though.

Yeah, but they said it in an interview: http://www.videogamer.com/news/gog_discusses_ubisoft_and_the_future.html
VideoGamer.com: So today you announced that Ubisoft games will be arriving on GOG. Can you clear up which games we'll be getting and when they'll be available to buy?
Tom Ohle: We’ve started off with tjree games released today: Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Beyond Good and Evil and Magic and IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946. We’ve added Ghost Recon, Far Cry and Rainbow Six to the Coming Soon section, and we’re holding a few others close to our chest for a bit.
Wasn't Chessmaster 9000 published by Microids just like Megarace ?
I got it along Megarace 2 and other games in a Microids bundle years ago...
more like decade I think.

Wonderful! Thats great news! :D
I really enjoyed the games with voice annotation from Josh Waitzkin. They're nothing dramatic technically, just the normal game viewer with a voiceover, but they are much easier to follow than text annotation. I've already got this on CD, but I'm thinking about getting it again for the convenience of a GOG download.
That's GREAT! Have it on CD already, but I may purchase it from GOG.com just so I can know my copy works.

Looks interesting. The teaching aspect is what has me interested.
On another note, this is release #1 of 2 for today, right?

Probably, unless they want to release the other game thursday.
