If (you think) it bothers your lifestyle that much, you really should just buckle down and get it *professionally* dyed at a unisex salon. God knows enough women do it (and men too, these days).

This is a solvable problem. Blanching at a coloring job as "fake" and continuing to lament your cruel fate is just an exercise in self-pity. It's like anything else that accessorizes your appearance.

That or get your hair cut very short and start wearing snazzy fedoras. But do something, because no one else will for you to magically resolve this.

2) My daughter has red hair and has to dodge people trying to touch it. She gets 2-5 comments about her "beautiful hair" every time we leave the house (I'm really not exaggerating).

Note to Deathknight1728: People like women with red hair, because red hair looks great as long as it is long and well taken care of...So if you grow your hair out, you won't have to end it all.

Oh, and I would suggest a pony tail of some sort. Make sure it is manly enough, but, not so much so that you make other men jealous. Good luck!

EDIT: Also I think a beard can enhance the look of a red-headed man, and you may not even have to grow it out then.

Well nobody is irrelevant, but, your point is very relevant. Some people love to put you down, to make themselves feel better. You cannot control what other people think about you, but, you can control how you think about yourself. Know yourself, control yourself, accept yourself, and I think then happiness is an easier thing to find, even in a dark world. :)
