wodmarach: Halo reach... you survive an entire army attacking you to finally be taken down by a squad of (most likely) grunts...
Sorry, I didn't die until I got swarmed by elites.

Honestly I didn't get the upset at the ending for this game, how did people really think that Reach was going to end?
Depth Dwellers

All it gave you was:

YOU ARE AWSUM

l0rdtr3k: Fable 2.Lucien kills your dog,everyone you loved.you think it will have a epic battle?no,you kill him with ONE SHOT!
They actually mocked themselves for this in Fable III, saying something along the lines, "You don't think you can just walk up and shoot him and that's the end of it, do you?"
Flood.

The ending was perfect: really funny and quite awful at the same time. A very disappointing ending, and they did it on purpose.

You're the last survivor of your species after a bloody war, trying to escape the raising water in a flooded underground.

When reaching the surface after tens of nightmarish levels...

* splash *

I was stunned for a while. All this for THAT?!?!

OK, the cute character does look like a frog, but...

* splash *

After seeing that, the whole game looks like an elaborate joke.
Why Bullfrog? Why? WHHHHRRRRY?
I just played Homefront and all I can say is that is the worst ending in the entire world. You're fighting off the least interesting and easiest boss in all of video games (a fucking truck, essentially) and then it blows up, then some patriotic American asshole you have spent 5 hours loathing in the game sacrifices himself in a 25 second long cutscene, then the credits roll.

Do not buy this game.

Fever_Discordia: ...but the end of Monkey Island 2 was pretty odd - Guybrush and Le Chuck ...
This. Nah, not the worst but a real *OMG I can'g believe you just did that* slap in the face. :D

And you might want to put some spoiler tags there. Because it's, you know, a spoiler.
I mean, not everybody has played it yet, even if they definitely should.
This will sound strange, because I LOVED the ending, but as a Role-Player I was crushed by the end of Fallout...

I thought it was a terrific ending, really hit home but I thought to myself: "This is the Thanks I get!?!"

Yeah, same here. Planescape Torment was just as bad actually, in that just the same but different way.

Homefront and Dragon Age 2 cant decide which one is the worst but they are both utter crap actually thinking now Homefront wins for its so sharp an end i was sitting going wtf while the end credits rolled.
Dreamfall.
Gothic 4 Arcana

I was just getting into the game and it ended abruptly.
Let's see...
- Anachronox, since it basically ended halfway through and then of course had no sequel.
- Evil Islands: Curse of the Lost soul, since you had to see the "big revelation" coming at the very least halfway through the game and the gearing up for that final battle and the battle itself are real downers.
- KotOR2, of course, for the unfinished rush job.
- The Camarilla or, especially, Kuei-jin endings of VtM: Bloodlines, seeing as you either die or get played (and likely still die).
And being the last I finished, I could add Risen to this too, for that weird JRPG-like fight coming out of nowhere and leaving things in limbo.

PS: Forgot, The Dark Eye: Drakensang. Sort of "you just saved the world... bye now".
