Well the rep is kinda silly. I mean, if you post every day in the just three words thread, you could end up with a very high rep eventually, even though you haven't contributed anything at all to the community. As opposed to somebody who only posts on the weekends, but is a very good poster, who has a lowish rep because they aren't here every day. It's just a measurement of how active somebody is, nothing else.

we now get 1 rep per day for the first post.. that didn't start till a few months ago.. plus we've all been downrepped a few times over the years.. hell I was over 500 yesterday some people don't seem to like me saying a certain indie game is overpriced >.>

Yeah, people are often downreping posts they simply don't agree with.

I helped people multiple times with their issues and questions :P

but yeah, it might be connected to lurking. It took some time before I became active on forums

There are only local vendors - you can't really find them online.

But if you do find such a vendor, all you need to do is give them your GOG username and password so that they can empty-out the rep in your account. It usually takes about a month to process, after which you'll receive your money.
