Licurg: I'd do the same for my PC .
But would do the PC the same for you? Think about it...

Zurvan7: Haha nerds these days make me laugh :p His whole life time was spend on that box :D
But that's exactly it, isn't it? It's not so much the Xbox but all the time he's spent on it that he probably feels is valuable.

Losing 200 hours of Skyrim, time you cannot ever get back, has got to hurt a little.

Still not worth risking your life, of course, but looking at it as "time I'd rather not lose" rather than "my gamebox" makes more sense to me.
I hope you all are having fun with your sick posts! A man nary loses his Xbox in a fire and you twisted fucks sit around making wise ass comments about it! We aren't talking about something silly like losing your kids or your spouse in a fire, this is a man's console and it's not a fucking joke!

What if it had been your Xbox, or your PlayStation, or your PC!? Think about that! Oh, no, now it's not so funny is it!?
I hope it was an Xbox One, then I completely understand.. I mean, who has $500+ to just let burn? That's a lot of money.

I would save my PC, some people spend over a grand on their PC... some things are worth saving.. but at the same time you should really be logical about the situation... if the fire wasn't too bad and you are pretty sure you'd be ok to run back in and grab something then by all means do it... but if it's a really bad fire then it's not worth risking your life..

Fever_Discordia: Am I the only one wondering if it was an XBox One, 360 or original flavour?
I am wondering about insurance, shouldn't that be covered.

Wish I could spend 200 hours in video games xD I usually get bored with it after 30 hours :p Though playing it back again after a month or two might get me into the game again.

Tallima: I saw a similar article, too. Pretty funny. It would be both sadder and more profoundly face-palming if his dog died but he saved his xbox. Luckily, nobody died.
Why? Roasted dog is pretty nice. Roasted XBone, on the other hand... not so tasty.

Most people don't have any form of home insurance. The percentage goes up a bit among home owners versus renters, but you would be shocked how many people have no coverage at all.

Actually reminds me of that far less fun story of that guy who kicked his step-son into a coma because he accidentally deleted his GTA IV save...

This is why I back up my computer. It took me years to collect that terabyte of porn, I'm not about to start over.

That doesn't surprise me.Insurance is something that's not particularly desirable, until you actually need it, at which point you can't buy it to cover the loss.

Good man he knows his priorities
I'm trying to picture the speeches at his funeral, had he died.
