Hi I was thinking of buying this game from steam for my pc. Is it worth it? Or should I try to install the micropulse old version of it that works too. Can anyone give me their opinion of this new game on steam?

Also, I have spectromancer and astralmasters on my pc which I feel is awsome games. Does anyone know of other games like these? I wish they will make more games like spectromancer and astromasters.

Thanks any opinions will be appeciated.

THANKS>>>

Runespell Overture is coming out soon on Steam, you might want to keep an eye on that. The developer(s) that made Spectromancer and Astral Masters also made a new game called Astral Towers. There is a demo available that you could try on that front.

In regards to Magic 2012, have you ever played the original Magic game on steam? (not the Microprose one). It really isn't much different from that game, and I feel that neither game holds up against the Microprose game, with the biggest complaint being the lack of freedom when it comes to deck building.

Aside from the rule changes and the Archenemy game type (which, oddly enough, doesn't allow you to be the Archenemy), there really isn't much to get out of Magic 2012.
You might want to try Guardians of Graxia.

Magic 2012 is good but not for the hardcore Magic gamer. But I think if you liked Spectromancer you will also like Magic 2012.

This. I've never played any game beside my favorite Microprose one just because of this reason. I hate to not be able to make my own deck with my own ideas.
I also wanted to buy this, but there are already foil dlcs avaible, so I will wait for some big promo to buy the whole package.

That reminds me, they kind of screwed me over with the card they were supposed to give me.

Site was broken and wouldn't accept my key.

You absolutely don't need the foil conversions. Those are just makes your decks look shiny. Really.
They also have deck unlocks but you can unlock all cards and decks just by playing the game.

Just "shiny" ? Or it changes the look of rare cards to special/collectors edition cards? Because if it's the second, I need that DLCs :D

Yes, it changes the look of the cards to the special edition ones. What's the difference? :P
That I won't buy a game that was ripped off like that :P I know it's just card look, but still.

and could you show me the actual difference in looks from normal MtG rare cards and special edition ones?

You sure? Most cards don't have a promo version. I'm pretty sure it just makes them shiny.

It just makes them foil, plain and simple. Let's call them Horse Armor for Magic: The Gathering, specially since its purely digital content with no actual value whatsoever.

Then I was wrong.
Foil cards only matter in real life MTG cards because they have a higher value for trade or sale. That is about it. A foil card does the same as a normal card when you play.
