Damnation: Plus, if yo uget so gripped by the game, there's always the possibility of venturing deeper into the MTG universe, as nearly all cards (Except some of the very old series) are released on MTGO as well (At monetary prices, of course).

Orryyrro: I'd recommend this if you don't have the people to play the physical game with, if you do and just want a diversion I'd say get the DotP 2012. Simply due to how much MtG costs, and paying to play both physical and online could get costly.
Well, I've only payed the entry fee and already have nearly 1000 cards in my MTGO collection :p

Just from the starter kit, the planeswalker pack contains only 250 cards I think (Cards from all decks of the original Duels of The Planeswalkers). Rest are M11.
