Well, I really hope that it will not just be a DS port of one of their classic graphic adventure games. It could be nice, but not enough.
If it's really a port, it could explain why companies like GOG could not have the right to sell their games... or it could just be one more proof that LucasArts + classic games = complete mess...
Let's wait and see.

I'd just be happy if they released the first two Monkey Island's again, never got the chance to play them at the time, didn't have a PC and they are stupid money if bought second hand.

Link fail.

michaelleung: Link fail.

Fixed. My bad.
Its destructoid, it'll be a fail regardless of whether the link worked or not.
Personally I kinda hope they make a new monkey island and port grim fandango to the 360/ps3 as a downloadable game. Grim Fandango was utterly unique and really needs to stay that way

DS or wii ports of the originals would be nice.
New versions of old classics.... hmm... i'm just not sure LucasartsOfNow could do justice to any of them.
they could always ruin it completely by doing moronic cross genre crap
"I'm Luke Skywalker, mighty Jedi"
"You look more like a bantha herder to me"
imagine lightsaber insult swordfighting
"You fight like a moisture farmer"
"How appropriate, you fight like a vaporator"

It could work. Han could steal a cursed ring from some evil pirate, give it to Leia, she could get turned into a giant carbonite statue, and... wait... no...
(Chuckle)
Monkey Island DS, Monkey Island 2 DS, Monkey Island I + 2 WiiwarEdition, Monkey Island 3 DS = Billions of copies
Crappy port on some new vidgame platform, no doubt about that. You can see how LucasFail plans to abuse of its licenses by looking at the Indy 4 included "as is" in the Wii's Staff of Kings...
I hope they go bankrupt and fail for good, this company has nothing to do with its own past hence nobody should care anything about it....
Do not support crapware.....
Imagine insult swordfighting on the Wii, made into a fun party game of course.

What are you talking about? KOTOR was awesome!
If they are going to make modern sequels to their classic games, they must also bring back the creative talent that made them classic in the first place. Otherwise, this is bound to fail.
Put it simply, present day Lucasarts is not the same company that we knew in the 90's. Not by a long shot.
It'll probably be iphone ports now that I think of it. Why the hell dont more people make games for windows mobile? The install base for that must be huge

It was fantastic, but it was made by Bioware. In fact any half decent star wars game of recent years has been made by a third party; the LEGO series was Travellers Tales, Battlefront was by Pandemic and the Rogue Squadron series was by Factor 5.
If this new update is made in house then there is not a lot of recent history to suggest it will be any good.
