according to this random speculation, it'll be monkey island for the 360
Well, I meant it in a sarcastic way. Meaning they say "Well I have grown up.", because that's what they call selling out.

lowyhong: The way I see it, no Tim Schafer = no adventure games. That's how it is.

Ditto to that.
Without Tim Schafer, Ron Gilbert and all the TALENTED people who used to work there, Lucasarts has turned into a ruthless milk pumping machine and proceded to suck the Star Wars cow dry.
No good adventure games can come from Lucasarts, not anymore.
Now be fair, just because they haven't made any adventure games is not an indication that they CAN'T. They might make a spectacularly good one IF the management can be convinced that titles lacking references to armed conflict and flaming balls of hydrogen can actually SELL.
Frankly the 360 marketplace (or the equivelent on other platforms) is the ideal spot to try such a bold venture as creating a NEW game. It will be fairly short so as not to waste precious star wars dollars, it'll be fairly cheap so people can buy it and surprise them and then all they have to worry about is making it good

If it's really that, well... I'm kinda disapointed. LucasArts classic adventure games are cult computer games, a lot of PC gamers are waiting sequels and/or re-releases. And what do we get? Indy FOA and MI1 on consoles...
On the other hand, if it could spotlight those games, and if the sales are a success, maybe it could give LucasArts more interest to sell their old games on more platforms (including PC).
Thanks for the info, btw ;)
