Miaghstir: So... Now that EA is here, who's next?
I still deeply hope for LA. I swear I would instantly buy every single game they put up that doesn't have Star Wars in the title, and quite a few of those that do. The other publishers would be good too, but no other comes close to the glory of LucasArts.

I just really wish they'd speed up they releases if they do get them, though. After all, they'd just slap ScummVM on most of them and call it a day.

This. Although I'd probably buy up everything that DID have Star Wars in the title, AND all the other awesome goodies that LA would bring to the GOG.com site. So yeah, once LA is on GOG, my wallet will be screaming in so much pain that it would no longer be funny.

Mark my words, people are going to endlessly complain about the LA releases just as much as they are the EA releases.

"ARGH! Where are my promised extras! I want HD 1080p Blu-Ray .ISO rips of the original cinematic cuts of A New Hope/Empire Strikes Back/Return of the Jedi and the head of George Lucas on a stick!"

Someone necroing this thread was worth it just for this post. :P That put a smile on my face and I needed one, thanks!

And it seems some people still want to talk about LA, so not a total loss there either. :)

------

However, as much as I would like to see them here, I suspect that LA is not one of the two other mysterious publishers of the "big 5" left to be added that GOG alluded to earlier - probably Microsoft, Square, or Take Two - the addition of any of which would still be good, just not as good as LA.

Yep on all three counts. Although I won't complain one whit, I'll not be ON these forums cause I'll be happily playing those old LucasArts titles. And I just bought Wing Commander 3 like the tool I am, haha.

I definitely want to talk LA!

And if any of the other 3 publishers sign on, I've got at least 1 game I would insta-buy from all three (excepting LucasArts, ALL their games are insta-buys for me save for Force Commander):

MS:
MIDTOWN MADNESS 1 + 2

Square:
Final Fantasy VII

Take Two:
Civilization (since they have the rights to those games)
OR
Borderlands (it may be too new to be available for sale on GOG...)

:) Civilization would definitely be nice. From Microsoft, I'd like to see the Close Combat Series here. I'm not sure I have any Square desires, but I may be able to discover new games I never played before from them on GOG. :) LA of course has many, many great games, but first and foremost for me would be to see the X-wing series on GOG. That would make my day to play Tie Fighter again after all these years.
Dear Uncle Lucas, Y U NO COME TO GOG?!

Uncle Lucas did come by to visit, but GOG was out of town while working on some dumb PR stunt.
