Tarm: What?
Play Monkey Island 1 and talk to one of the guys in the Scumm Bar.....also in MI3 look at the button on the dead guy in the chicken place.
Honestly can't think of anything about monsters fearing you from Lucasarts. Starting to think it is EA more than Lucasarts, or both (which would be insane).

cogadh: The first Sam and Max game? They were chasing Bigfoot in that one (IIRC), that counts a a monster, right?

Navagon: I reckon the typeface plays a part here. That's definitely not a font I'd associate with Sam & Max.
Have to agree with you there. Sam and Max was a bit of a stretch already, but I can't seem to find any other LA games that will fit the clue or the typeface... crap, maybe its not LA after all.

Everyone assumed LA based on outlaws. I'm starting to think that was very much a jump to conclusions.

As I said elsewhere it is possible this is an announcement of several titles not only from the big publisher reveal, but from others as well. If so the outlaws clue very much goes with Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, which we already know is coming to GOG.

wodmarach: needs a sequel and is far too short?? I agree!

Tarm: Actually I think it's one of the few adventure games that gets it right. It has a story to tell and it does just that. No extra stuff added for length just an amazing story very well told.

I wonder how a sequel would be? The story is after all finished. Would feel strange if they made a new story or somehow continued the old one.
Something I'd like though is another game that copied the gameplay. Loads of fun trying to get the tunes right. :)
It could feature what happens to Manny and his lady friend and the others after they reach the afterlife/ninth level of the underworld.

Outlaws seemed like such a dead cert for Lucasarts too. It doesn't fit EA anywhere near so well. But they've released so many games (and own many other IPs besides) that it's more than likely I've overlooked something. The only other titles that ring a bell that are on PC are Gun and Call of Juarez. But the publishers of those are already here.

Are there any other publishers not already on GOG that these clues fit? There's Take Two, I suppose. That's not quite so obvious but it could be.

no problem
Day of the Tentacle. Purple sure was afraid of you foiling his plans.

Heh.

But I imagine it's EA. LucasArts has an idiot of a CEO. EA, however, would LOVE the good will they'd get from releasing a lot of their back catalogue DRM free.

Also, ride with the Outlaws clue was leaning me towards Road Rash.

Because you've been teasing LucasArts, if it turns out the new publisher is not LucasArts, GOG, you will be committing an act which is only just crueller than closing the site for 3 days.
The font used for the What Game Made Monsters Fear You hint is used on the sub heading Evil is Good title on the original Dungeon Keeper box art...

As far as I can recall, anyway. Can't get a decent image of it using google on my iPhone though.
I'm looking forward to this

It's not exactly the same font, but there are similarities:

As someone on neogaf pointed out, try looking at the Dungeon Keeper 2 box art.
