Sweet! Thanks for the heads up! I'm happy for them that they finally got this project released after all of the years of work and threats of having the project shut down by Activision. I'm glad Activision changed their mind about this one.
Awesome! Thanks for the info.

Agreed, I saw that and simply left the site as I had no interest in registering.

Same thing I did. Knew someone was going to post a link eventually. :D

Oops didn't notice that!
Well, I just finished the first episode.
A little short perhaps, and heavy on cinematics, but that's to be expected since they have to set the scene for the series.
I thought they really got the right "King's Quest" feel to the game, and the control system is nicely done.
My only criticisms are that perhaps it relies a bit on the player having knowledge of the previous KQ games. Also, there isn't much (if any) pathfinding for moving graham around, so you end up clicking a touch more than perhaps could be necessary.
Generally though, I really enjoyed it and I'll be waiting on the next ones. Kinda suprised they aren't charging for it though, if the rest of the episodes are of similar quality I'd happily pay a few quid for them.
Two things are off putting and one of those two is a dangerous one: the narrator is BAD. With descriptions of items being quite long, you often hear her starting to bumble around after half a sentence, putting the wrong emphasis on certain words. It's very distracting. I'm a firm believer that adventure games should not have a spoken narrator - unless they're actually great at it, like in the Space Quest games.

I actually liked the narrator... personal taste though. I found SQ4's narrator a bit hard to take, but that's mainly because I had only played the version without voices until recently.

Fortunately, it is possible to switch off narrator voice in the audio options menu. Problem solved, I'd say.
