Two weeks ago, GOG asked you to brace yourself for winter. Now that it’s December, winter is officially here! To celebrate that (or roll into an ball under your blanket and sip hot cocoa) we’re doing a Kalypso Digital Media catalogue sale for a flat 50% off!

Creatures series - this franchise has been a breakthrough in terms of in-game AI. They are games that can be enjoyed on so many levels. From youngsters just touching the surface and enjoying playing with digital pets to adults delving deep inside the functionality of the A.I. to experience some valuable content, these games are definitely something unique and extraordinary. ;) Get the games in the Creatures series for 50% off this weekend on GOG.com.

If you are not a fan of furry creatures (and who isn’t a fan of cute furry creatures?), you can always get Expendable! You are one of two (co-op available) cloned super-soldiers destined to fight off an alien invasion force. Action, shooting, upgrades and breathtaking explosions: that’s a lot for a mere $2.99!

We have another one for the trigger-happy part of the GOG.com community: Incoming and Incoming Forces. Jump into a fighter jet or one of dozen different vehicles and repel an alien invasion--with a twist! You’re a soldier of the alien species and you’ll have to protect your homeworld from the nasty invaders from Earth! Grab Incoming + Incoming Forces and blow those bad humans back to where they belong for only $2.99!

Patrician 1+2 for only $2.99 is a compelling offer we can present to any aspiring Machiavellis. The ultimate historically accurate economical strategy game with trade, diplomacy, and sea battles!
If you've missed Stronghold last week, here's another chance to grab it half off.
If you want your strategy more combat-oriented, you can enjoy Port Royale also for just only $2.99 on GOG.com this weekend. Live the life of a freelancer, pledge yourself to one of the world powers fighting for dominance over the Caribbean Sea, or don’t get involved and become a fearsome pirate.

Last but not least, if you like the Caribbean climate but sailing isn’t your thing. Try being El Presidente in Tropico Reloaded, and experience all the ups and downs in the life of an armchair-dictator. Tropico Reloaded includes Tropico, The Paradise Island add-on and Tropico 2: Pirate Cove.

This is a flat promo so you get 50% off no matter how many games you’ll buy! Hurry up as this offers expires on Monday, December 5th at 11:59 a.m. EDT.
I bought the Stronghold games in the last promo and it looks like I already have everything else I would want in this one.

Expenddable is a pretty good game. It's pure arcade style action with lots of shooting. I haven't played a lot of it. This promo reminds me that this is one of those games where I keep wanting to go back and play some more of it sometime. I'll probably play some more after I finish a few other games.

The one thing that might put you off of this game is the way the controls work. They do work well, there is nothing wrong with them. The thing is, it is that older style of driving the character like a tank that is similiar to the old Resident Evil games. If this doesn't bother you, it is a good game.
*time to update wishlist & publish it on gifting thread*

That's true, although strangely for a game of this type, I've found that mouse and keyboard control works better than joypad control!
None of these games is on my Wishlist - so i'll skip. No sad face GOG - I've just added $5 bucks (saved today) on my XMAS sale fund :-D
DotEMU had almost the same promo a weekend ago, except it wasn't a flat 50% on everything.

still, seems like the old Kalypso games are on sale every week with one digital retailer or another. i bet they'll turn up in a sale on GamersGate next week...

Nordic had a similar wave of sales recently.
Not anything here for me, already picked up the tropico games.

Robbeasy: Anyone give me a heads up on Expendable?

The game forum doesnt have much in it - is it any good? Mindless blaster?

Mind you, for the sale price, I should just buy it and find out for myself i suppose....;o)
My major problem with Expendable is the tank style controls (turn left, turn right, move forward, move back) with a fixed view, which I just could not for the life of me get used to. Just try circle strafing without absolute movement!
Sorry GOG this promo just isn't my cup of tea. You will be seeing my hard earned dough over Christmas and Boxing Day though.

TheEnigmaticT: Galimatias will be properly flogged for the omission of linkage. :P

Lone3wolf: With pics? I do so love a good flogging ^_^
Don't we all?

Fantastic! I wanted to play Tropico Reloaded the other day. This sale made that a no brainer.

If you think you can get use to the controls then go ahead, but like Kalirion I couldn't either.
Anyone who hasn't got it yet - buy stronghold and tropico NAO!
Tempted to get at least one of the Creatures games, especially now that I've developed a sudden interest in artificial intelligence... Hmmmm...
