Bundle is closed!

Four games for a variable minimum, starting at 2.99.

Really Big Sky
Runespell: Overture
Cthulhu Saves the World (with Breath of Death VII as a bonus)
Eufloria

UPDATE: Bonuses!
Really Big Sky soundtrack
Eufloria soundtrack
Cthulhu Saves the World soundtrack
Molly the Were-Zompire and Epiphany in Space (Bonus adventure "game" novels (.DOC files) from CSTW creators Zeboyd Games)

Unfortunately the only game with Mac support is Runespell, and nothing for Linux this time around. But all are redeemable on Steam, and downloadable DRM free.

What do you think of the games?

Star Bonus: 'Rise Of The Obsidian Interstellar' a chiptune LP by Disasterpeace, the composer for Fez and Puzzle Agent. You can get this by spending enough to drop the bundle price (at least an Iron Star).

PenutBrittle: You can buy the bundle for a minimum of $3.99 USD starting now, but you don't get to see what you bought until launch day. The minimum stays at exactly $3.99. On launch day, it starts at the price of $2.99 and goes up.
Why would anyone preorder at a price of $4 without knowing what games will be included when the price on launch day is $3? That doesn't make any sense to me.
As I understand it, the upcoming bundle will launch at $3.99 and never go below that. They say future bundles will start at $2.99 though. So the upcoming bundle seems to have a higher minimum price point than others.

I won't be pre-ordering though. Even if it is just a few bucks, I don't want to blindly jump into a deal I may not want. Then again, I am fairly cynical this year after so much money has been lost on games that turned out terrible or huge disappointments, so don't mind me.

I also thought that if they immediately got several Daddy Warbucks contributers in a row that price could drop below $2.99.

Last time the servers got slammed and it was extremely hard to check out with all the downtime. For example, by the time my Paypal went through the minimum price had gone up to $3.91.

Basically, you can buy it ahead of time and not have to worry about server issues. That's worthwhile to me at least.

Hrm. The wording is a bit weird. On either Facebook or Twitter (can't remember which) they explictly said it was launching at $2.99, but that could change.

And I totally get not preordering, hell I'm a bit worried. But they did confirm it wouldn't include any repeats from the Humble Bundle or the first two Royales, and I don't buy a ton of indie games outside of those packs.

They way I read it, the minimum price for the next bundle is going to be $3.99. So by preordering you are guaranteed to get the minimum price. I guess the minimum is higher this time because it's a Really Big Bundle™ containing a larger number of games. Normally the minimum would be $2.99.

The bundle is only four games (as far as I know, the front page is only showing four question marked boxes). The Really Big is referring to something else (Game world? Content? Longivity?).

From the official Facebook page: "We don't reveal the games until the bundle launches. The preorder price is 3.99 (it doesn't rise during preorder). When the bundle launches it will begin at 2.99 and rise from there. Hope that helps!"

Perhaps when I get paid on Thurs I'll pay my $4 to reserve.
Sooo... what are the BIG games on Desura? Probably even added this or last week.

Could it be this? http://www.desura.com/games/achron
Or this? http://www.desura.com/games/frayed-knights-the-skull-of-smakh-daon

I didn't get their last bundle, but I have hopes for this one. Pre ordered... I hope I don't regret it. :P
I'm pretty sure it's referring to Really Big Sky, an epileptic orgy of twinstick/sidescroller kind of thing.

Those look fairly possible. I'm kinda crossing my fingers for Dungeons of Dredmor. Roguelikes count as big, yeah?
One of them is likely to be a really big RPG. And there's not many of those available on their platforms. I would guess Depths of Peril or Eschalon, but these could be it too:

Avadon, or his older games
Some of the games from indinera.com
Aztaka
Din's Curse

or maybe even Mark Leung's Revenge of the Bitch, which looks awesome if you play while being not exactly sober.

It's on Desura, so it's definitely possible.

One thing that didn't occur to me is that we don't know what platform the games are on beforehand. They did state in the open letter that every game will work on Windows, and the ones that have Mac/Linux versions will have those included, but there is the possibility that one or more of the included games requires Steam (a la Sanctum). Something to keep in mind.

Ahh... this one. http://www.desura.com/games/really-big-sky

Not preordering in a pathetic hope to get it cheaper.
