It is really sad that music bundles don't get as much attention as game bundles. I paid more than average on this bundle and like (most of) the music.

I downloaded the FLAC files and was surprised about the file size of "Mo'Fi by Crooked Saws" (1.86 GiB) first. In the zip-file there has been two differently mastered versions of the album and it is encoded at 96kHz/24bit (except for 2 tracks). The other albums are 44.1kHz/16bit.

This, essentially. I don't really know any of this music and since I'm not into chiptunes or most electronica, I'm not sure i'd like it. Plus, this is GOG, so we probably already have tons of OSTs (I'm listening to Arcanum at the moment :)).

EDIT: Though looking at this bundle it looks like we've got more non-electronic music than I've seen in most of this type.

And Mo'Fi is really nice, with the two versions. Good case study for 'loudness war' debates. (Plus the music's good, a bit of a raw and almost Southern-fried Black Keys.)

Amazon won't let us use Amazon Payments to process orders for anything that's related to charity in any way. Since you can designate part of the purchase as a donation to EFF and/or VH1 Save the Music, that's charity, so Amazon says no. I have no clue why they have that policy, but they're enforcing it.

Was about to say the same thing about the Humble Indie Bundle.

This is not really pertaining to this thread other than Bandcamp... anyway, I may have heard the mention of the site before, but this the first time I've actually checked it out, and I really like what I've been seeing/hearing so far. I'm actually quite surprised nothing quite like it has existed until just last Fall. I already came upon three or four artists' albums I'm quite interested in - I spent the last couple of hours just randomly browsing the country/folk section. Very nice. I wouldn't be surprised if I got more into the indie music scene now.

I have a couple of questions though since BC's faq seems to not exactly tell me: It mentioned expired downloads, so is there only a limited amount of time you have to (re-)download the music? Are you stuck just downloading one single audio format or can you download all of them if you so choose? That would be helpful to know before I make an actual purchase.

Seems you can write to the support when your download is expired. I never had a problem with time since I usually download an album on the same day or the day after I purchased it.
It is also possible to download more than one format. I did that some time ago just for testing, but I'll stick with downloading lossless and encoding my own lossy files.

The download links expire, don't know exactly in how much time or if it's the same for all artists/ albums. But as bcrank said, you can contact support to get new ones (every artist has a specific download-support link on his/ her site).

You can download all available formats. Your download link usually lists mp3, but there's a drop-down menu where you can choose your prefered format(s).

If you check the links I provided, a couple of the albums are free - pick one to see how the download page looks like.
