Just wondering if there are some details for the site features labeled "In Progress"?

Many of them are requests that should always be... "in progress", like:

More "good ole games"
More complete games
More linux compatible games
More win 7 games....

etc.

Just curious if there is a definite plan to bring about something that would resolve those to say, "Complete", or will they always be "in Progress"?

I'm also guessing that, due to the surprise nature of release day.... we will never see new games coming to GOG as... "in progress"?

Hmmm... any chance it was an announced "coming soon"? LIke Alan Wake's American Nightmare is now? If not, that would be neat ;)

I hope something as vague as "More good ole games" will never be set to COMPLETE. After all, we don't want these additions to stop, do we? Unless it means GOG managed to re-release ALL good ole games there ever were with Win7 and Linux compatibility.

(Btw, these categories are also the easiest and least revealing to set to IN PROGRESS. ;) )

"In progress" means exactly what it says, GOG is actively working on those items. They won't provide details, but you can trust that they are doing something.

"In progess" is marketing speech for: "shut the fsck up and stop bothering us with countless 'we need this game on GOG' threads on the forums because we are frigging working on it."

This is sort of where I was coming from. I'd like to think, "In Progress" means, "expect something soon". Like the shelf. There are some great suggestions there that have a firm completion expectation:

Mark games as completed.
Organize games better.
Make separate shelves.
Insert book ends.

Etc.

Seeing "stay in business" marked as "in progress" for all eternity is a little silly for my OCD eyes. I'd like to really know when the downloader might see an update, or when forum features will be added... etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if GOG just thought that was the best they could do, given the vague titles. If they removed them, someone would just create them again, and they can't really be marked as completed, or have any sort of progress meter attached to them (since no matter how far you've come, there's still a damned near infinite way to go, or what's left at least cannot even be guessed).

For those that do have a firm way of measuring "completeness" (such as being able to make separate shelves) they will be marked as completed when applicable, exactly when that happens though, is not for us to know yet.
