I just read an article in the Game Informer and this spiked my interest in the game, I have no mouth and I must scream. It sounds like a really good horror adventure game.

Has anybody played in the past? What do you think?

Anybody has any idea if GOG might release one. It might be worth the $6.
it's a great game. masterpiece.
Not so great gameplay but awesome dark story and atmosphere. Totally worth it.

Oh wait wrong thread.
i read this game have a lot bugs.

Is that true?
Never played it myself, but it did sound like certain actions or picking up certain items would render the game un-winnable.. Fun design trick.

Given that the author of the original story was involved in the game's creation AND he's pretty well reknowned as a curmudgeon, I wouldn't be surprised if that was an intentional flipping of the bird towards the player...
Sure, it'd be a great addition, if they could get the rights owners to sign up. Usually not an easy task.

As far as I remember, it was not possible to get the game into an unwinnable state. The problem is, there are basically five smaller stories focusing on single characters, and then a finale. In each of these stories, you can either achieve full "redemption" for this character or just finish the story (which was actually very easy for some of them). This then directly influences what actions will be available to you in the quite tricky ending sequence, where the order in which you pick the individual characters also matters to some degree.

So it is very much possible to lock yourself out of the best ending in the game without really realising it, but I don't think you can get actually stuck in a dead-end.
I've always been really intrigued by this game, but I have never had the chance to play it or see it anywhere. I just know it because back in the day when I was a young lad, there was this program on tv that was talking about the game and showing it. It was quite extraordinary, cos it wasn't even a gaming show or anything like that.

But anyways, it looked really interesting and unique and it left an eternal interest in the back of my mind. I hope we see it here someday!
Who knows if GOG can get Harlan Ellison on board.
The game can still be legaly bought (boxed version). So I guess that all distribution rights and publishing rights could possibly remain at Harlan Ellison .

Original Publisher was Acclaim, who knows if the publishing rights of this somewhat obscure game were ever sold to another company when they went down. Should be managable to get a contract going.

So GOG, get on with it.

This game is true gem and a unique experience that would fit very well in the catalogue!

The first thing I saw was this:

"HITLER PEIGNAIT DES ROSES"

SimonG, why are you doing this to me? I have imagination, you know. The one that hates me now.

My revenge is, now you see it too.

Sweet find. I've always wanted to get my hands on the game too, but it had always been protected by IDSA (now ESA), so it was impossible to find on Abandonware sites.
It's one of my favourite adventure games. Probably top five. I never had any problem in completing it, but yes, getting the best possible ending will take more than one play through.
