Nightblair: Unless seduced by Tomb Raider.
aw crap, early powerplay....i haven't got anything to seduce Lara with in my deck so I'm countering with Kate Walker (immune to Lara's, uhm, personality) and play on Syberia's story stat.

I'm waking the Sleeping Dragon from Broken Sword 3. His fire breath will counter Siberia's climate while lame sokoban-like puzzles infesting Broken Sword 3 will make Kate burst into tears (it only works on characters from good adventure games). Gotcha!
My backlog is so big and I'm playing so rarely, that I'm really not buying anything anymore. I'm planning to buy the games on my wishlist, but that's it, at least for now xD There are still some kickstarted games I'll get during the year, anyway =)
Well I don't think there is anything odd or wrong in buying a game you won't play right away. I mean we know how the site sales basically work and you have to strike while the iron is hot on some things. Consequently your not going to play everything you buy right away. Especially when your paying 2-3 dollars on average per title. If it makes any of you feel better, I have a huge set of 6th and 7th gen console games (spanning all major non handheld systems) that have yet to be played including a Steel Battalion ensemble I paid 200 dollars for. (I never completed the game)

Dragon? This is serious...I could call upon my Darklands party to deal with this but since the power of the Broken Sword dragon is unknown to me and my party is weak, I invoke the rock volley tactical power from Stronghold Crusader Extreme.
Fire won't harm my castle because it's filled with wells and ballistae on every tower will keep the dragon away. Rock volley comes from the sky so your only option is to retreat into your cave (don't know if your dragon has one, but I assume it has) and play another card.

Let us not derail this thread any further. You are, however, welcome warmly here: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_the_gathering

AmarKap: I have failed! After buying some crazy amounts of games here on Gog.com last year, I made a resolution that I would buy no more games on Gog.com in 2014. We are not even a full month in and I've lost that battle. Deadlock sale broke me...and then this new Time Capsule/History promo did me in.

It is finished. I lost the battle and willpower to stay on course!

It is so bad that now I sneak out in the hallway at work and quickly check what is the game of the hour on my phone. Thank goodness Gog.com makes you put in the CC# with each purchase because if they had a one-click thing going on...that would be it.

You know what is really sad? I don't even play these games...I just want them. I want them on my virtual shelf. It is like collecting baseball cards at this point (well I guess...I've never really collected baseball cards).

Damn you Gog.com...Damn you and your marketing team....I am weak to you!!

(ps. I say all this with the utmost respect and love to you Gog.com. You guys rock!)
From all weaknesses yours its a good one ;)

Funny.....I do the same damn thing. Buying these games is like a hobby. Good thing I can afford to buy them. I am grateful that GOG provides a site where games can be legally purchased and downloaded. The community is awesome here too.
My Dear Gog.com friends:
How nice to see and read so many posts to my little message from this morning. It was truly wonderful to read all the comments. I wish I could just reply to each and everyone one of them individually. I've learned a lot and laughed and smiled through them as well!! Really nice to read from Nightblair, awalterj, Ghorpm, Apixelypse, and so many others!!

Yes, it does seem I am not alone in my "addiction". It safe, clean, and fun. The nostalgia and memories from younger days alone is worth it.

And on top of all that so many wonderful people here in the community. And yes mondo84, I am among friends. So nice.

So I will end by saying I hope I'm never cured and always a Gog.com addict!!

Thank you!!

By the way, my Gog.com number is 169! :)
