wormholewizards: Don't feel too bad. Actually the rep prove nothing. I can name plenty of guys losing their rep on consistent basis, yet it's no big deal for them. And i had history with rep point too last year, lost plenty of them because there were some misunderstanding.

gameon: Thanks. I kind of value my rep because i gift others and have done competitions, so it would look bad if my rep was at zero or minus numbers.

Also if you get 5 stars you get some sort of special bonus, so it sucks that most of my rep was from spending time on the forums and posting. Hours wasted in seconds!
Don't worry, i don't think it will reach that level. Unless someone hold a grudge and make plenty of dupe account just to down rep your posts (i think it take at least 3 users to down rep a post of yours to make you lose 1 rep). But i think you're okay.

honestly don't worry about it I lost about 100 rep in a day for saying something that while honest wasn't particularly liked.. and I've been in the -'s a few times rep isn't overly hard to get aslong as you help when you can...

TheEnigmaticT: As for downrepping, well, the GOG forums are like "Whose line is it Anyway?"

That is to say, "everything's made up and the points don't matter." :P

wodmarach: UK or bad US version?
Ryan and Colin are awesome in either version. Yes, Drew Carey has all of the personality of a dead fish, but Wayne Brady is brilliant at improvisational singing. Also, I can hardly understand the guys in the British version half the time, so my vote has to go US.

Ryan and Colin are gods among comedians though I do think you're insulting the dead fish there...
Many of the UK comedians are northerners (something about the north and it's crappy weather and comedy it seems) which means the dialects and accents can be pretty thick

gameon: Also "Uk version or bad US version" of whos line is it anyway.......The U.k version was good? lol. I prefer deal or no deal just for its novelty value. Noel Edmonds on a fake phone, lol.
The earlier the series the better it was more modern comedians have problems with how spontanious it is
While I disagree with GOG'S current direction, I applaud their timely attention to this issue, and I hope those of you that preordered it in good faith are pleased with the reault.

Sinizine: Did anyone wringing their hands over this actually y'know, preorder this from GoG? It did not seem like it was much of a hot seller.
I hadn't bought a copy and I haven't bought a Humble Bundle in a while, but I think it's a dick move for the partners.

I'd be curious, as well, to find out how many people preordered it here, but regardless of numbers, it's still a dick move.
Then there are people like me, who have been assigned the villains role, who inconcievably manage to still accumulate rep.

If you like Colin, he's absolutely brilliant in that short lived Canadian series "Almost Heroes." He steals damn near every single scene he's in. It's a shame that it only lasted for 8 episodes and most people have probably never heard of it.

Who's Line is it anyway got progressively worse the more American it became. It was great when it was just UK personalities on the show and it was great being in the UK with American comedians, but the fully American version just wasn't anywhere near as good.

Since British people seem to have evolved a method of speaking that involves never moving their lips, I find them devilishly hard to lipread. As such, as funny as the UK version may be, I don't get it. :P
What a clusterfuck.

This would be pretty shitty with any company but i hate it that it happened with Amanita. Amanita folks seem like genuinely good people so i'm still trying real hard to convince myself that this was an oversight and not a dick move.

Didn't see this one coming, that's for sure.
Shouldn't the Amanita guys be offering Machinarium and the soundtracks and extras free even for those who didn't preorder? It should be like that for anyone until the HIB ends as far as I'm concerned.

TheEnigmaticT: Nah. We've got tons more lined up, and they're freaking phenomenal games. This is a slight hiccup, and while it's not perfect, you don't always get to have everything perfect. We'll do everything we can to make our customers happy if they're upset by this, and we'll chalk this up as a lesson learned as we move into a new marketplace.

And we'll keep bringing you guys the best games we can find, regardless of who made them or when. ;)
I'm glad to hear that this won't damage relations with indie developers. My biggest fear was that this stunt would leave the too-sour taste of regret in the mouths of GOG. This is good news for other developers, myself included (if I can ever make something that GOG will accept, that is. :) ).
sorry if this has already been posted, but:

mushy101: Very probable, I also hope they make a move into making legal action a follow up if indies break that rule.
avatar
Navagon: I think that suing indie devs could really hurt GOG. Don't forget that their sister company's attempt to sue pirates caused a massive uproar.

More likely they'd just have their games removed.
Oh, not suing, but legal action like you stated, removing items from store under legal agreement. A fine if possible too. Something very small.

Also, dammit I now read every post with TET voice after he just wrote quite a few posts.

It's voiception I tell you.

/quit reality.
