cioran: 28.
This make me:
old enough to remember big box PC games. Dear God, those were absurd. Anyone else just start folding and stacking the boxes? They take up too much room on my bookshelf.
old enough to have suffered through Pools of Radiance:Ruins of Myth Drannor with faint memories of the Goldbox....

Old enough to remember games sold in ziplock bags at computer stores. LOL
My parents wants me to believe that I'm 30, but it can't be true, I'm between 18 and 22 ;)

Well, I'm 38....
....my wife is 26 as well! To be fair, I met her when she was 23, so probably not...
The formula for testing whether you are a pervert: minimum acceptable dating age equals your own age divided by two, then add seven years. So if you're 30, you can date a 22 year old without being called a perv, but don't go any lower.
I get to be a perv for two months every year...

Alten: I think I'm taking the title as oldest, overall.

DrIstvaan: It seems you're not; marklaur is older by one year ;-).

Ohhhh Musta missed that with my old eyes and slow mind :) Good to hear I'm not the only one in the 50s AND still lovin' gaming.
EDITED TO ADD: I take the above back. His post came after I made the one quoted. WHEW...I thought I was really losing it. Now, back to playing Super Mario Brothers. Cool, new game, eh folks?! ;-)

My gawd, we're still playing games on computers older than most of the posters here... ;-O
No wonder people are confused as to what constitutes a 'classic' title!
That said, I am NOT the oldest poster. Just starting to feel like it. ;-/

So...I must be a pervert 5 months a year since my gf doesn't turn my age until August.
24 here. I think GOG.COM drags in people who really loves old games and appreciate time spent with them. :] I can tell that from average age of users. ;) I'll be honest: none of new productions gave me such fun as Fallout or Baldur's Gate. >.< That's why I'm here. I prefer old games with magic mood than new games with nothing but super graphic.
Classic games still rocks! \m/
I am nearly 24 1/2 years old, been playing games since I was about three or four. I probably did not understand most of them at that age though, not being a native English speaker. Games did play a significant role in my English education though, especially the early Quest adventure games with text-parser interfaces.

Same here (minus the Quest games), I've learned much English from playing games. (Heh, I remember playing the Heroes of Might and Magic 2 demo with a dictionary in hand.)
That's one of the reasons why I think there should be an option to play localized games in English.

I remember starting out on Lemonade Stand and Castle Wolfenstein on the Apple IIe.
We got an IBM PC in '83 and I never looked back.

I'm 44. My first computer was an 8K Commodore PET with the little keys and a tape deck to save & load programs. First games were Space Invaders, Cosmic Jailbreak, 3D Star Trek plus many others. I started to write a few simple games for my own amusement, which is how I became a programmer - but not a games programmer.
18, boom boom.
50!
Started with an atari-800 and then in the mid-80's got an 8088 PC clone.
