Holy necro posting, Batman!

Also, it's a pretty good game. Kinda drags on a bit, if you ask me.
If anyone is interested, there are some VERY NICE web sites out there that break this game down bit by bit show you every possible option and thus how to do it. They cover getting every single Light Side and Dark Side point and how to get the most out of using them both.

Perscienter: It crashes regularly between regions or when I set up droids no matter the settings.

F4LL0UT: That's just odd. I've played the game on three different systems over the years and not ever did I encounter major technical issues. I have no idea what's up there.
There's that recent updated re-release of KotOR 1 and 2. I don't know if the original build is that fucked up, but a nocd based on that particular version is unstable. It crashes everywhere, if you can get the game running at all. At the same time the final original patch version is perfect, if treated with imagecfg.

I think this is hands down the best recommend the game can get, seriously. I play terrible SW games and I love them because I am a Star Wars fiend, but to love one and not give a shit about SW speaks to how good the game is and how it managed to transend its very identity.

One of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

I'd go for it, if you can get past it happening in the same "galaxy" as Star Wars.
Hmmm strange I never noticed any major bugs in that game.
Yes the party characters do get stucked from time to time, but I don't see that as a major bug problem, no game is perfect.

The game is also strong in story telling but can get boring from time to time.

But all in all is a very good game, so if you have the opportunity go for it.
Best plot twist in gaming HISTORY, IMHO. M Night Sh-whatever (his last several movies totally sucked) has nothing on KOTOR.
I thought it was a pretty good game, generally, however it IS pretty standard bioware fare. I'm not too much of a star wars fan, although I'll admit I thought light sabers were a nice concept in a space age setting, but the game is fairly good even if you detest the star wars universe, imo.

Mind if I ask a geographical question? Is Star Wars big in the Eastern Hemipsphere? I've always wondered if people's adoration for it was just an American thing or global.

Its certainly got its fans here - and its quite a decent number I think - but I don't think most asians are really all that crazy about the star wars universe - most of us think its a fairly good story with the force and light sabers making it interesting. I can't really speak for everyone here however. =p

Most of the people I know of however do NOT like episodes 1-3. The people interested in the universe are mostly interested in ep 4-6, the old ones, I think.

It's big in Europe which is (mostly) also part of the Eastern Hemisphere. :P
I can't imagine SW goes over too well in the U.K. All the bad guys have english accents. I mean, Obi Wan is from the U.K. but he is Scottish. Even Vader has an english accent and he is voiced by James Earl Jones who is from Michigan! Go figure. Of course, now that I think of it Jabba the Hutt is a bad guy and he looks and talks a lot like people from Alabama, so maybe I'm wrong.
Oh Kotor, the game along with Fable, that introduced console only gamers that were used to JRPGs, to western RPGs.
